Kun was immediately swarmed by his classmates when he reached the class. Fan Chengcheng rest his elbow on Kun's shoulder comfortably as he greeted him cheerily, "Yahh, our very own valedictorian is here."
Fan Chengcheng looked over Cai Xukun's shoulder, surprised to see a petite looking person standing behind him with his head down. He let go of Kun and walked towards the person with a grin, "Bro, are you in this class too?" He reached his hand out about to pat on the guy's shoulder when Kun grabbed hold of his wrist tightly, "Why are you touching people randomly without permission?"
Kun pulled Chengcheng's hand away and held on to YuXin's hand. Her hand felt smaller than he had imagined as his hand enveloped hers easily. Smirking to himself, Cai Xukun brought YuXin over to the desks with two empty seats. "YuXin, you sit beside the window." Cai Xukun instructed and YuXin sat down quietly as Kun took the seat beside hers.
Fan Chengcheng pulled the seat in front of Kun and sat down, his gaze lingered on YuXin, trying to get a good look at the person Kun had just brought in. Even though his hair was cropped short, his facial features looked delicate, his sharp nose and slightly pouty lips and his sharp chin made him look more feminine than masculine. And that pair of sparkling eyes bearing an innocent look made Fan Chengcheng stare at him, trying to figure him out. Kun nudged Fan Chengcheng's elbow roughly, shaking him up from his own thoughts.
"Are you going to sit here?" Kun asked, trying to divert Chengcheng's attention away from YuXin. He noticed YuXin's ears were turning slightly red from the unwavering stare from Chengcheng and he badly want to take YuXin away right now. I knew it, it's just too dangerous to let her out of my sight.
Fan Chengcheng nodded and turned his attention back to YuXin, "Bro, what's your name? You look pretty for a guy."
The word 'pretty' triggered a wave of jealousy in Kun and he clenched his fist tightly, trying to control himself from grabbing on the collar of Chengcheng, asking him to back off. YuXin's face was now blushing slightly as she replied Chengcheng with an awkward smile, "Umm.. I'm Liu YuXin and I'm a girl.."
"Ahh.. I'm sorry I'm sorry." Chengcheng flashed an apologetic smile and YuXin shook her head, assuring Chengcheng it was fine.
My little rabbit is about to get eaten by this stupid dog. Cai Xukun cursed internally. Internally, he was about to explode like rocket but you wouldn't know seeing his calm and smiling expression.
Cai Xukun slump down on back seat of the sedan, resting his head on the headrest and let out a soft sigh. It was just the first day of school and YuXin had captured some attention from his classmates and a few of them started crowding around them, chatting up with her. He didn't mind the girls but whenever he saw a guy coming up to YuXin, he felt a strong possessive feeling, wanting to push them away.
"Kun, are you okay?" YuXin asked softly, patting his shoulder lightly. "Do you have a headache?"
Kun nodded. His head was about to explode from the brimming jealousy that had been stewing within him the whole day. Yet, he had to put on a facade and power through the day without any reaction. It was second nature for Kun to put on a professional facade when he's in school. Plenty of eyes were observing him, scrutinising his ability to be the successor of his parents company.
He felt YuXin's hand on the side of his temples, massaging them in circular motion slowly. Her touch brought a wave a calm in his raging emotions and he relaxed himself. The edge of his lips slowly curved up as the throbbing ache slowly dissipated. "Is it better?"
"Mmn.." Kun replied. As long as you are here, I will be better. He snuggled down on her shoulder, resting his head comfortably on her shoulder blade as he linked his arm with hers. "Let me rest for a while." It is only when he's with YuXin that he's able to let his guard down and reveal the childish side within him.
