20. Am I Too Overbearing?

"Are you tired?" Kun turned his head towards YuXin once they were seated down at the airplane, flying to Shanghai to attend a business event. YuXin was asked by Kun's parents to accompany Kun for the event as chance to form connections and opportunities to collaborate for future marketing. 

Shaking her head, a smile crept on YuXin's face as she replied, "It seems like this is the first time I am traveling alone with you." Ever since they've been together, the two of them hadn't had the chance to spend much alone time with each other. Most of their days were preoccupied by work, including the weekends. 

It was only now that the two could have some time to enjoy each other's company even though it was still for official business. Kun reached his hand out and clasped onto YuXin's, holding it up and placing her hand close to his lips and gave it a slight kiss. "There will be more opportunity in the future."

After checking into their rooms individually, they had just enough time to refresh themselves and change for the evening party event held at the hotel's bar. YuXin looked at the two outfits that were hang in front of the closet and deliberated on the outfit of her choice. If it was up to her, she'd have picked the classy full white suit that she's used to but the other outfit was gifted to her by Auntie Xu after she asked YuXin to accompany Kun for the event. "YuXin, it is also good to try out other outfits for a change. Besides, you have the figure to flaunt it." 

YuXin traced her hands on the soft baby blue dress that was hung beside her suit. The dress was nothing over the top, just a simple thin strapped baby blue dress that hugs onto the curves of the body with a slit at the side. The back of the dress plunges low with the fabric covering just below the waist line. 

Darting her eyes between the two choices in front of her, YuXin sighed as she fret over the choice of the clothing. Her thoughts were cut off by the knock from the door and she went up to open the door to usher Kun in. 

"Why haven't you change into your outfit?" Kun arched brows in curiosity. He had already changed into his dark blue suit and sleeked his hair back neatly, exuding a stronger charisma than usual. YuXin held on to Kun's hand and pulled him to the closet, pointing towards the two outfits. "I don't know which one to wear.. Auntie Xu gave me the dress so -" 

"Definitely the suit." Kun clenched his jaw and took down the suit, pushing it into YuXin's hands and nodded. "Wear the suit." Kun finally relaxed himself when he saw YuXin entering the bathroom to change. Staring at the dress, he shook his head in disbelief. Trust my mom to give YuXin such a revealing outfit to wear.. What if my little rabbit gets eaten up by some other big bad wolf.  He whipped out his phone and texted his mother begrudgingly. 

6:55pm - [MOM! What kind of dress did you give YuXin??!] 

6:55pm [Why? I think I've got pretty good taste, it should look good on her.] 

6:56pm - [She looks good in everything.. But that's not the point, it's too revealing! She won't be wearing it.]

6:56pm [Tsk. I don't remember raising my son to become a controlling boyfriend.] 

Kun rolled his eyes upon seeing his mother's reply. Whatever, there's no way I am going to let her wear that. 

The frown on Kun's face did not disappear when he saw YuXin changed into her suit. He walked up towards her and pointed towards her the gaping opening on her shirt, "Isn't it too revealing?" The opening of her shirt that was left unbuttoned cut all the way down to her chest area, revealing her fair neckline and chest. 

YuXin looked down at her shirt, "Is that so?" Still, she started buttoning up her shirt and adjusted her clothes. "Is this better?" 

Kun nodded in approval seeing YuXin dressed in a more conservative manner, the frown on his face finally lifted to a smile. "Am I too overbearing?" He smoothed her fringe aways from her eyes affectionately. 

YuXin's eyes curved as she smile and she held up her index finger and thumb, showing a narrow gap between them and teased, "Just a little bit." 

Sulking, Kun held onto her hand and leaned in closer to her. "You don't like it? If you don't I -" 

His words were cut off as YuXin leaned in and gave him a quick peck on his lips. "I know you care. Let's go before we are late."
