30. The Both Of Us Can Shower Together

Ushering YuXin back into her room, Kun said in a tone of concern, "Hurry up and have a warm shower."

As he pushed YuXin into the bathroom, she turned around and held on to his hand, "You're soak too, you can shower first."

As much as Kun didn't want YuXin to fall sick, she wished the same for him too and wanted him to head into the shower first.

"I'm not that weak. You better head into the shower first."

"But.."

Lifting the side of his mouth, Kun flashed a smirk and bend his back down, having his face near YuXin and said in a lowered voice, "If not, the both of us can shower together."

That statement made YuXin bolt into the bathroom without further argument like a startled rabbit and Kun let out a laugh at her adorable reaction.

YuXin started fidgeting uncomfortably as she walked side by side with Kun to the filming venue the next day. The thought of them being scrutinised by the rest of the colleagues made her cringe slightly in embarrassment and she was scared of their reaction today. Surely, they must have known by now that her and Kun are more than just working colleagues.

"Relax, I can see the side of your veins popping up."Kun joked while he gently prodded the side of her head.

"It's just so sudden.. I don't know how they would react."

Stroking her head gently, Kun reassured with a soft smile, "I'm here. You don't have to worry."

Contrary to how YuXin was feeling, Kun was ecstatic. He could finally make it known about their relationship and that would ought to deter any pesky flies from being near YuXin in the workplace and he could show his affection towards her without hiding any longer, not that he was hiding to begin with. To him, that was definitely something worth celebrating.

When the two reached the filming venue, chatters from the filming crew died down instantly and Kun cleared his throat before addressing the rest of them.

"Right, I know we are behind time for this shoot because of the rain yesterday. Let's try to finish up today, I've booked the barbecue restaurant for our celebratory dinner later."

All the crew members started cheering with huge smiles of their faces and they got into their professional mode in no time, putting the gossip behind them. Perhaps due to the reward by Kun, the filming went on swimmingly and they managed to complete the shoot within the allocated time.

"Cheers for the successful filming!"

Clangings of the beer pint glasses started filled the restaurant as they celebrated the end of the filming. Changing out of their formal clothing, YuXin and Kun now looked like two young adults in their casual button up shirts and berms. Kun's hair that was usually sleeked up was now let down and left unstyled, making him look younger than usual.

"You guys don't have to be so uptight." Kun flashed a friendly smile at the rest of the employees. "Outside of work I'm not your boss."

The rest of the employees on his table let out an awkward smile and nodded their head tersely, still finding it hard to relax in front of him.

Seeing the awkward sight on the table, YuXin began teasing Kun to lighten the atmosphere.

"Yeah, let's relax and eat up since Kun is here to treat us. How about ordering the premium wagyu beef for barbecue?" she beamed a cheeky smile and Kun rested his hand on his forehead, flashing a defeated smile as he shook his head.

"Someone is out here to make me broke."

Ignoring his complains, YuXin turned to face the rest and nodded eagerly at them asking if they are in favour of ordering the food.

The rest of them started laughing at the interaction between the two and everyone started loosening up and chatting together, tossing the tense feeling aside.

"YuXin, are you sure this meat is still edible?" Kun picked up a charred meat and scrutinised with a teasing smile.

"Aiya, its a mistake." YuXin tapped on Kun's arm lightly, "Give it to me, I'll eat it."

Instead of handing the meat over, Kun took a bite of it and patted on YuXin's head gently, "Its alright, its delicious."

"Wah wah, I think I'm full already."

"That's right. The two of you are making us full from the sight of you two being all sweet to each other."

"Didn't expect our MD to be such a sweet boyfriend."

Tilting his head up proudly, Kun replied confidently, "Yeah, of course. You don't know how much effort I put to chase her."

The rest of the colleagues started cheering and teasing them and YuXin's face started flushing uncontrollably and Kun pulled her close, hiding her face on his chest protectively. "Alright alright, that's enough teasing."

As the dinner progresses, many of them started becoming more vocal and relaxed in front of Kun, especially with the accompaniment of the pints of beer they have been drinking.

YuXin too, was not spared by the multiple toasts from the other colleagues and she drank the beer graciously under the watchful scrutinisation from Kun. Noticing the flush on her cheeks becoming redder by the moment, Kun stepped in and halted the toast to YuXin by Kai.

"I think she has enough."

Pushing his hand aside, YuXin pouted at Kun and pressed her finger tip on his lips, "shhh. I can still drink."

While Kun sat there stunned by her sudden assertive action. She turned back to Kai in her half drunken state and stood up, meeting him on he's eye level and smile, clinking her glass clumsily on his and cheered to a toast.

Unfortunately for Kai, YuXin's aim was totally off and it ended up with her simply splashing her pint of beer on him, leaving his shirt and pants half soaked.

"Oh no, I'm.. Sorryyy" YuXin apologised in her slurred speech as she pulled her napkin and started patting Kai's shirt with it in an attempt to help him clean up the beer in her unsteady gait.

Her hands started shifting from his shirt down to his waist clumsily as Kai stood there awkwardly, trying to stop her and stammering its okay as she moved closer and closer to his sensitive area.

In the nick of time, Kun grabbed on to YuXin's hand and pulled her back, causing her to fall back on his chest. "I'm sorry, she's drunk."

Kun pulled out a credit card from his wallet and handed it to the assistant. "You can pay for the bill with this card after you guys are done with dinner."

He carried YuXin up and added, "I'll make a move with YuXin first."
