Three years later

"YuXin.. Sigh, Kun seemed like he drank too much.. I.." YuXin could hear the anxiousness from the other end of the phone call as Chengcheng stammered to complete his sentence.

Chengcheng held up his phone on one hand and looked at Kun who's in his half drunk stupor and scowled his face in annoyance. Trust his buddy to leave him to clean up his own mess.

How did the loving, doting husband representative be labeled as a cheating scumbag overnight who is currently a drunkard? It's all because of some paparazzi snapping a photo of Kun at an angle of him seemingly having his hands around a female during one of their event.

Before Kun knew it, the headlines of several tabloid magazines were plastered with gossips and rumor of him cheating. With towering work to clear in his office, he didn't know anything about it until his personal assistant gave him a copy of the tabloid magazine and his heart immediately dropped. Kun's first response was to phone YuXin to explain what happened but no matter how many times he called her phone, it could not get through. The multiple texts too, were left unseen by YuXin.

Desperation seeped and he was dying to just go back home but he had an important meeting with his potential business partner for an upcoming billion dollar project and he couldn't just leave. As the clock ticked by he could feel his desperation slowly turning to pure agony as he glanced towards his phone discreetly for multiple times, awaiting for a reply or call from YuXin.

In the end when he finished the discussion at 9pm, Kun saw the messages still left unseen and felt a never before sense of devastation.

That's where he sought Chengcheng to have a drink and discussion on what to do but who knew it turned out that Kun couldn't hold his liqour as well compared to before and got drunk before they could come up with any strategy.

"Ah.. Where are you? Do you need me to fetch him?"

"No no, it's not convenient for you to drive down so late at night. I'll just drive him home." Chengcheng immediately replied and hung up the phone call. As he did so, he flicked Kun's head lightly and lamented, "You should thank your stars for such an understanding wife."

.

When Chengcheng lugged the half drunk Kun back into their apartment, YuXin had already prepared the necessary at their bedside. As Chengcheng placed Kun down on their bed, YuXin frowned worriedly and asked," Just how much did he drink to get this drunk.."

Scratching his nape sheepishly, Chengcheng replied, "It's really not that much.. I think his alcohol tolerance has reduced. He rarely drinks after Xiao Kui is born. He must have felt horrible after seeing his name being smeared today.."

Chengcheng quickly made himself scarce after saying a few words for his buddy and YuXin turned her attention back to Kun after sending Chengcheng off.

Sighing, she sat beside Kun on the bedside and helped to remove his tie and slowly unbuttoned his shirt. As her hands moved downwards to the middle of the shirt, Kun's hand suddenly jerked up and held onto hers tightly, and YuXin jumped up a little in shock.

"You.. Don't touch me.. I'm married.." Kun pushed YuXin's hand away and fumbled with the buttons with his eyes closed.

Furrowing his brows, he continued. "Only my wife can touch me.."

YuXin bit her lips to fight against bursting out in laughter. It was her first time seeing Kun in this drunken state and him slurring his words with his reddened face was an entertaining sight.

"Your wife is not here now, let me help you." YuXin purposely changed her voice a little and reach her hand out to prevent Kun from rebuttoning up his shirt.
