32. When Are You Going To Give Us A Grandchild?

What did I do, something worse than spilling a drink on Kai?? YuXin tried to pry into her own memories of yesterday and she was still drawing blank.

"What did I do?? Was it really bad?" She asked cautiously, avoiding her eye contact with Kun.

He nodded his head seriously, "It was borderline harassment."

"Ehh??! Who did I harass??" YuXin tugged on Kun's shirt tightly, shaking him with a look of panic.

"Me."

"You? You're giving me a heart attack." YuXin shoved Kun lightly and rolled her eyes, thinking it was another joke of his.

"Didn't you realise your top had changed?" Kun answered seriously, keeping his eyes straight on her.

That's when YuXin looked down and realised she's in a completely different top from her dinner outfit. She looked up at Kun in fluster and started chewing on her nails nervously.

Did we.. Did I initiate.. What..

"What happened.." She asked in a barely audible tone.

Kun pulled her hand away from her lips and rubbed his thumb on her hand lightly.

"You started climbing on top of me and started stripping off your top." 

YuXin face immediately flushed in deep shades of red and she pulled her knees up, resting her face in between her legs in disbelief. If only she could just make herself disappear now, or wipe away the memory inside of Kun's head.

Chuckling, Kun stroked her head gently and comforted. "Its alright. I know you've been eyeing to pounce on me for a while now."

"I didn't!" She looked up and rebutted indignantly.

"Alright, alright. You didn't, it's okay, you fell asleep before anything happened." Kun reassured.

"So.. We didn't.."

"If you want to, its not too late to continue where we left off." Kun teased and YuXin shook her head vehemently.

"No no no, umm I'm going to wash up." She stood up and ran towards the toilet hurriedly with her redden face as Kun let out a laugh.

"Hey, it kinda hurts hearing how fast you reject me. You're more honest when you're drunk!" Kun shouted behind her with a huge grin plastered on his face, thinking how adorable his girlfriend was.

YuXin could feel the knots in her stomach as the two of them traveled back to Kun's house. After the unintended declaration of their relationship in front of their colleagues, the both of them agreed that it was time to tell his parents officially about their relationship. 

"Relax, you know how much my mom adores you." Kun smiled and took a quick glance towards YuXin's direction. 

"But its different... My family status and yours.." 

Kun stopped in his tracks and reached his hands out to YuXin's cheek, holding up her face and leaning his forehead against hers. 

"Silly, you think my parents care about those? Trust me, you are the perfect partner for me." He gave a light peck on her nose and led her into the house. 

They were greeted warmly by Kun's mother the moment they stepped into the living area. She walked up to YuXin and gave her a hug, flashing a motherly smile. 

"YuXin you're here." 

She pulled back and looked at YuXin with a face of concern, caressing YuXin's cheek gently and started fussing, "Your face is sharper than the last time I saw you. I've prepared your favourite dishes, be sure to eat more later." 

Kun, who was standing beside feeling all left out started coughing dramatically, "Er erm, did you forget about your son here?" 

His mother turned towards Kun and stared at him with her narrowed eyes. "Kun Kun, are you overworking your employees? If you don't know how to take care of YuXin, there is always room for her in the main company to work under me and your dad." 

"Mom, are you trying to poach YuXin over to work for you? I won't allow that." Kun rebutted defensively. 

"What's going on?" His father stepped into the living area with an amused smile, witnessing the bickering between his wife and son while YuXin stood at the side quietly. 

"Dad, you came at the right time. Mom is trying to poach my people over to the main company." Kun complained and sulked as he walked beside his father towards the dining table. 

His father raised his brows, "Oh? Which employee actually caught her eyes? I've never hear her mentioned about any particular person to me." 

As they took their seats at the dining table, his mother held onto YuXin's hand and patted it endearingly. "I was merely suggesting to Kun Kun if he is overworking YuXin, she can work for our main company instead." 

Seeing the amuse look on his wife's face, Mr Cai decided to join in the teasing and nodded in agreement. "I see, if its YuXin I will be more than happy for her to join our main company. She will be an asset and I will make sure she is well treated." 

Kun looked at both his parents with a disbelief frown. What the, since when did it become them snatching my YuXin away from me? And trust dad to stand at mom's side for this?! 

Kun huffed and crossed his arms in front of him, "No can do, YuXin belongs to me. Find your own capable employee." 

"Who said it's for you to decide." Kun's mother replied and tsk at Kun. She turned to YuXin and said warmly, "YuXin, would you like to work for us?" 

YuXin sat there in hesitation. How could she say no to Auntie Xu and Uncle Cai's request.. 

"Umm.."

Noticing her deliberation, Kun quickly intervene and held on to her other hand tightly, "She's staying with me, you can't just snatch my person away." 

"What person. Kun Kun, at work YuXin is your employee but she is also free to make her own decision."His father explained. 

The bombardment from both his parents finally riled Kun up and he exclaimed firmly, "She's not just my employee but also my girlfriend. How could you let your son be separated from his girlfriend."

His mom and dad looked at each other with an amused smile while YuXin lowered her head shyly from Kun's abrupt announcement of their relationship on the dining table. 

Lifting her hand to cover her smile, his mother turned towards his father and commented, "Dear, our Kun Kun has found himself a girlfriend." 

Laughing, his father nodded and chimed in, " I thought he would stay single forever given how he rejected so many people. To think he was actually eyeing on our dear YuXin all this time." 

His parents obviously knew about their relationship but they wanted to hear the declaration from Kun in front of YuXin just for their sheer amusement. After all, they have witnessed how their son's change of attitude towards YuXin from being aloof and distant when she first came to following her around, always sticking beside her after a while. 

It was pretty obvious to them that Kun had interest in YuXin, but they were uncertain if the interest was merely because of their long standing "siblings" relationship where Kun was protective of YuXin or was it in a romantic way. 

It wasn't until Kun confirmed it to his mother that made them realise how serious Kun was towards YuXin and they decided to tease their son just a bit to rile him up. 

"Auntie, uncle. We didn't mean to keep it from you, its just- " YuXin started explaining and Auntie Xu looked at her with a smile and shook her head. 

"It's okay YuXin, we understand. I'm glad Kun found you as his partner, your uncle and I really adore you a lot." She patted YuXin's shoulder gently. "Whatever it is, know that we will be here for you." 

She turned her attention to Kun again and probed him further. "So? When are you going to give us a grandchild?"
