10. If You Say Sorry Another Time I'll...

YuXin found herself becoming awkward  Kun these days. After the incident with Lin Xuan, it seemed like something in her brain clicked and she could not see Kun the same way as before.

Everytime their eyes meet, YuXin could feel her heart palpitating faster than usual and her ears would feel hot and she'd lower her gaze immediately to keep herself from blushing. What on earth is going on with me? She couldn't pinpoint what had changed and make sense of why she's suddenly feeling this way.

But luckily for her, as Kun and her became swamped with work, they hardly have any time to spend together, even back at home and she threw that thought in the back of her mind.

After a few months of rushing for the fashion launch and pushing their marketing for the products, Kun could finally breathe again as the popularity of the product has finally reached a satisfactory rate with increasing sales every week. Having been spending more than 12 hours in the office for the past few months, he realised he hasn't been spending much time alone with YuXin at home. He'd basically stay back in the office till wee hours in the morning and head back home to take a quick name and shower before heading back into the office.

Most of their interaction in the past month was done during work where he could only see her during their meetings and discussion. Apart from that, he hasn't had the chance to talk to her.

Now that he could finally spare some time, he couldn't wait to just spend his weekend alone with her, lounging at her house.

19:02 [Xin, are you free tomorrow? Let's hang out.]
19:27 -[Ah.. I have plans already. Sorry.]
19:27 [With who?]
19:28 -[The rest of the colleagues.]
19:29 [Including William?]
19:29 [Yeah, he is coming too.]

Great. Just great. Kun tossed his phone on his desk and heaved a loud sigh as he lie back on his seat. Knowing that William is going to be hanging out with YuXin made Kun's mood instantly turn sour. Actually, knowing any other male that is hanging out with YuXin outside of work would make Kun turn into a jealous-filled monster.

Sighing, he reached back for his phone and dialed a number.

"Bro, you honestly suck." Chengcheng dissed his friend who's currently taking a swig of the alcohol with a moody face. "You've been secretly in love with YuXin since forever and you still haven't confess to her?"

Shooting an angry glare at Chengcheng, Kun shook his head slowly, "What do you know about it." Of course Chengcheng wouldn't understand the agony and dilemma Kun was facing. After knowing about the feelings he had for YuXin, he had to try his best to keep them hidden to protect the relationship that they had, living under one roof.

Now that they're all grown up, it's not so easy to just confess. What if she rejects him? What if she couldn't take it and simply just leave now and disappear from his sight? He wouldn't have a say in that.

"Forget it, you can just hide your feelings and bring them to your coffin."Chengcheng rolled his eyes in frustration, secretly judging the successful bachelor who had just about everything except the love of his life.

Kun heaved a loud sigh and looked at Chengcheng,"What would you do if you were me?"

"Me? Knowing how YuXin is always so soft hearted, I'd just get into a car accident and then let her take care of me forever so she'd be by my side." Chengcheng joked as Kun rolled his eyes at how silly his suggestion was.

"Forget it, let's just drink."

As lucky or unlucky as Kun was, he did get into an accident a few weeks later. YuXin and Kun were walking down a flight of stairs when YuXin accidentally missed a step. In an attempt to save YuXin, Kun shielded YuXin from the impact of tumbling down the steps, fracturing his right arm and left leg when he landed at an awkward angle.

"You'd have to put the cast for a month for the fractured bone to heal properly. Try not to move too much and do not let the water seep into the cast when showering." The doctor instructed Kun while YuXin listened intently beside Kun.

"Does it hurt? You must be in a lot of pain now.." YuXin bent down beside Kun and patted his head gently with tears brimming in her eyes. Seeing Kun with a sling around his arm and his left leg on cast, she felt an immense guilt for causing him so much pain.

"I'm sor-" Kun placed his left palm over YuXin's mouth before she could finish her words.

"If you say sorry another time, I'll.." kiss you. Kun hesitated on the words he wanted to say. "I'll be angry."

Holding on to his left hand, YuXin pulled it down and nodded, sniffing back her tears as she collected herself. "Auntie and Uncle are overseas now so I'll take care of you until you're fully recovered."

Fan Chengcheng, your stupid idea ain't so stupid after all, Kun bit his lips tightly to keep them from curving up uncontrollably.
