Confessions(Naruhina Fanfic)

Chapter 2

Few days later...

I silently climbed out of bed and quickly put on my mission gear. I was summoned by Lady-Tsunade for this S-rank mission.. I wonder who it would be with, she said I had to go on this mission in a 2-man team so it would be easy to ambush the enemies.

I quickly sprinted out of my room, a slight bounce in my steps. Any one else who looked at me would have thought that I was over Naruto but on the inside I was a complete mess.. I just hoped that the person I was supposed to be going on this mission was NOT Naruto..

As I was going to leave I found a letter stuck in the mailbox I quietly opened it and read what was inside-

Dear Hinata,

I feel really bad for rejecting you so I would like to make up for it.. Please meet me at Ichiraku at 7:00pm

-Naruto

I didn't know what to do.. so I decided that I'd ask my friends when I meet them later

I met my friends at the exact same spot as everyday. They all knew what happened yesterday so they were a bit sympathetic and not teasing my as usual... I was in my own thoughts when a few whispers were heard. I pushed Naruto out of my mind and listened to the whispers..

"Do you know what happened?"- Stranger1

 "No what did?"- stranger2

"That white-eyed freak over there confessed to Naruto-sama and she got rejected.."-Stranger1

 "Wow she has guts the only one capable of him is Sakura-san, Don't you think?" -stranger2

"Absolutely he would look so good with Sakura-san, Who does she think she is?"-Stranger1

I felt tears spring up in my eyes, I quickly ran somewhere else. I couldn't give them the satisfaction of seeing me cry..

My friends followed me until I stopped for a second and whispered menacingly 

"Dare you tell anyone that"-Hinata 

"Why? Hina?"-Ino

"If you tell anyone, They always agree and start insulting me again and I don't like it"-Hinata in a shaky voice

"Can we tell Naruto at least?"-Sakura

"No not him either.. Today morning he invited me to ichiraku as he felt bad for rejecting me a-and if you tell him he might blame himself for it.. So let it be"-Hinata

"Ok fine but tell us how long this has been going on?"-Tenten

"2 weeks"-Hinata mumbled

"And why didn't you tell us?"-Ino

"W-well, I didn't want to bother you guys that m-much..."-Hinata

"For goodness sake Hinata stop worrying about us.."-Tenten

"O-ok anyway I have a m-mission Bye"-Hinata said and turned around before anyone could reply.

I quickly made my way up to Hokage-sama's office..

He gave me brief details and I was paired up with an anbu.. Thank god

We quickly wrapped up the mission in a few hours.. So much for an S-rank mission.. I reached my house by 5 in the evening so I had plenty of time to get ready.. I quickly treated my wounds and relaxed a little before getting ready for Naruto and I's ...... Uh what do I call it........ Pity Date kinda thing..

I wore a yellow crop top with a white shrug and a black knee length skirt.. Pretty plain I guess

Sakura POV:

I was quite surprised at what Hinata told us and I really wanted to tell Naruto so He could make his 'Fans' shut up for once. I love Sasuke-kun NOT Naruto.. 

I finished my work at the hospital and was now trudging down the street to Naruto's house. I decided to tell him in a way which he could figure it out himself..

"Hey Naruto!"-Sakura

"Hi Sakura-chan, Come in"-Naruto 

I quickly entered his house and sat on the couch

"Naruto I-I want you to make your clone follow Hinata where ever she goes except her house.."-Sakura sadly

"Why?"-Naruto looking confused

"Just do it.."-Sakura said as she left..

Naruto POV:

Well that was weird

But I'll do it.. I quickly turned on KCM and started searching for her chakra. I soon found it right outside her house and it looked like she was heading to Ichiraku.. I smirked, so she decided to come. She had a scared expression on her face as she headed through the main street. People immediately started whispering.. I inched closer so I could hear what they were saying..

"There she is again.."-Stranger 1

"I heard that in the morning when some girls were talking about her she just ran away crying. Such a Baby"- Stranger2

"I know right! She also had the nerve to actually say 'I love you Naruto'... Like everyone knows that Sakura-sama is perfect for him"Stranger3

"You are so righ- Eeeek"-Stranger 1

*BAMN*

I quickly spun around to face the sound and saw Hinata with her fist against the wall, Bleeding horribly 

"SHUT UP, WHAT THE HELL DO YOU KNOW ABOUT ME? I ACTUALLY LOVED HIM, NOT LIKE ANY OF YOU WHO LOVE HIM FOR WHAT HE DID FOR THE SHINOBI WORLD.  I LOVED HIM FOR SO LONG BUT HE NEVER NOTICED, HE ONLY KEPT HIS EYES ON SAKURA...DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH IT HURTS? DID YOU EVER STOP AND THINK HOW I FELT ABOUT THESE RUMOURS...."-Hinata said as tears started brimming up in her eyes..

"so please....just stop please I don't want to be reminded of it again"-Hinata whispered pleadingly

To say the least I was shocked and a bit angry at myself.. Hinata when angry was scary. She ran from the place and I followed her. She reached a pond with trees around it making it easy for me to hide. She just stared blankly at the pond as tears silently slid down her cheeks, she suddenly lifted her wrist to check the time

"Oh god I'm late"-Hinata mumbled to herself as she splashed water on her face..

I realized that she would come to ichiraku soon so I quickly sprinted there..

She arrived in a few minutes

"Hey Naruto-kun"-Hinata smiled

She didn't stutter or blush like she used to do I thought as I frowned a bit

"Hi Hinata have a seat?"-Naruto

She quickly sat beside me. I purposely brushed my hand against her's and she blushed a very light shade of pink. I smirked to myself in victory
