𝑨𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝑷𝑶𝑽:

I didn't understand why Xiao suddenly bursted out like that. I was trying to rack my brain around why he acted that way, all I felt was confused. Then I remembered the look in those piercing, golden eyes of his. They weren't the filled with the same lifeless, dry eyes like they always were, but instead they were filled with hurt and betrayal, betrayal from someone close to him. I let out a loud groan as I walked down the sidewalk. Lumine and Venti took off with the car, leaving me to walk in the pouring rain without an umbrella. I honestly didn't mind it too much. I wanted time alone to process what happened back at the cafe. He didn't look like the same stoic, dull Xiao that I knew for many years, instead standing in that same body was one filled with betrayal, hatred and pain.

I lifted my eyes from the ground, my hair clinging onto my face because of how wet is was. I didn't bother to bring a coat today either, so I was left trudging over to my house in the pouring rain. The street lamps were barely lit, flickering every so often. The sound of the cars passing by and splashing me with slight droplets of water felt refreshing but also very cold. I suddenly felt a huge wave of water crash against me from another car, my eyes flicked around to glare at the driver but then, I saw a familiar baby blue SUV pass by. That was Ganyu's car. Where was she going at this hour?

I lowered my head again, avoiding glancing at the car again before I felt my legs moving unconsciously. I was running. Faster and faster, I kept speeding up to follow the car. Why was I running? Why was I chasing it? Most importantly, why couldn't I stop it?

After what seemed to be at least 10 minutes of chasing the familiar car, it finally pulled over and searched for a place to park. I took this chance to catch my breath as I held my hand close to my chest, the beating of my heart getting slower after each breath I took. After I removed my hand from shirt, I looked over to the SUV to see Ganyu climb out of it. She jogged over to the other door on the right and pulled open the door. Who was she with?

As the door of the small car opened, a slighter shorter figure than me climbed out. Xiao. That must be Xiao. He looked sick, his eyes a piercing red colour and his hands stuffed into his pockets. Ganyu looked at the boy clearly concerned, but he just brushed past her and into the building. Not just any building, but a bar. Xiao was underaged, why the hell was he going to the bar? He watched carefully as he flashed what seemed to be an ID at the guard, the guard letting him in shortly afterwards while giving Xiao a suspicious look. I quickly flicked my eyes over to Ganyu, immediately noticing that she was grabbing something out of her car.

I took this opportunity to run over to her, the splashing of my wet running shoes following after each grand step that I took until I reached the blue haired girl.

"Ganyu!"

She flinched at the sound of my voice and whipped her head around, her eyes instantly growing wider with slight fear in them. "A- Aether? What are you doing here?"
