Sisterly Love And A Final Confession

No one's POV:

Xiao spent hours at his desk last night, using the small paper Albedo used for inspiration. Surprisingly the letters scribbled on the note were extremely useful for this. Once the sun finally woke up and looked over the sky, Xiao sent a text message to Ganyu. Sure, the letter would be the main part of the gift but he still needed to gift Aether something and since he didn't have driver's license, he relied on Ganyu to drive him.

He picked up his phone and wallet then quickly got changed in a knit sweater and a pair of dark sweatpants. The sweater was hand picked by Ganyu who bought one for herself so they could match. He carefully put his things into a small bag then lifted it over his shoulder, exiting his room shortly after fixing his hair.

Thankfully, neither of his roommates were there to see him. He quickly took a small container out from a cabinet and took out one of the pills, popping it into his mouth then walking out of the dorm.

He got to the parking lot of the high school campus and spotted the baby blue vehicle, instantly walked towards it and opened the side door, climbing in and greeting the blue haired female with a simple "hey". The blue haired girl smiled brightly and instantly pulled him into a warm hug.

"It feels so much better to finally see you again! I've only gotten to hear your voice that I almost couldn't even remember everything about your appearance unless I looked at the images!" She moved her eyes towards my sweater then her smile grew even larger. "You're wearing the sweater too! Ah... mine is still at the house..."

Xiao softly patted her back. "It's fine Ganyu. I'm glad to see you too." He smiled.

Ganyu carefully pulled away and put her hands back on the steering wheel. She began to drive off the property and towards the mall. "How has your dorm been? I recall you telling me that with you're with Albedo and Aether right?"

Ganyu didn't know anything about what Albedo had done so she assumed he was still the same, good mannered, blondie as before. Xiao remained with a neutral expression, responding to the question simply and blandly. "Yeah."

Ganyu could instantly sense his discomfort then pushed to a new conversation. "So, what are you thinking of getting Aether?"

Xiao thought for a second, truly, he hadn't thought of a good enough gift yet. "I'm not sure. Maybe I'll see something at the mall that he'd like"

I saw Ganyu nod out of the corner of my eye. "That sounds like a good plan."

We sat in silence for a few more minutes. There was a feeling in the back of my mind that she wanted to ask me something but wouldn't say it. Her constant glanced at me also told me that she wanted something. I decided not to be bothered by it and just kept my eyes in front.

Once we arrived at the mall, I climbed out the car and met Ganyu on the other side. We walked together, side by side and looked around at the various stores. It was a ton of clothing stores and snack places, none of it really peaked my interest, especially with the bustling atmosphere in each of the stores. That was until, one store had interested him.

It was a small jewelry store in the corner of the mall, layers of beautiful, silver, black and golden jewelry filled the whole room. The glistening jewels seemed to light up the room on the various necklaces, rings and bracelets. The whole display up front had everything from earrings to wedding rings, it was gorgeous. Tho, it wasn't the store that caught his eye. It was one item in particular.
