Xiao sat at his desk, tapping his pen repeatedly on the wooden table ad he thought of what more he could write to convey just what he wanted to say. It was the weekend so he had all week to think of what to say yet, he couldn't think of how to put it into words. He stared at the black sheet of paper in front of him, the white seeming like an endless void that swallowed all of the words out of his soul.

He groaned loudly as he leaned back on his chair, making a short squeaking sound as he got up. Just as he stood up, he banged his knee against the desk, wincing in pain. He had practically zero spatial awareness.

He slowly opened the door to his room then went to go make himself a coffee, it was 2 am in the morning so he had to force himself to be quiet, though, his actions were the complete opposite. He fumbled with the coffee cup, almost fell of his chair, and not to mention the loud pouring of the coffee.

He finally finished, not bothering to put anything in the coffee as he liked. He sat down at the dark table and drank in complete silence other than the trickling of the water drops outside.

After a couple minutes, another door opened. It was Albedo's.

The ashy blonde man stepped outside his room, his glasses loosely on the bridge of his nose, his dark sweatpants tugging along with his legs and a loose, light brown sweater around him keeping him warm.

Xiao immediately stared back at his coffee as he heard the light sound of footsteps travelling towards him.

"Hey Xiao. Up early hm?"

Xiao didn't respond. He hated the man with his entire being. Albedo pulled out the chair next to Xiao then carefully slid down on it.

A small smile rested on Albedo's face as he pushed his blonde locks out of his face. He seemed to have brought something with him.

"Ah, is there a chance that I woke you? No no... silly me. You don't go to bed often unless it be for a few hours."

Xiao side glanced at Albedo. How could he have known that?

Albedo returned Xiao's side glance with his own. "You must be curious as to how I know this huh? Well... let's just say I've done my own research on your sleeping patterns. It helps me monitor your health-"

Xiao stood up abruptly, glaring down at Albedo. "And when the hell did I give you permission to monitor every single movement I make?"

Albedo chuckled softly. "I suppose you didn't give me permission... but please don't look at me like that. Your face will rest like that if you don't smile more often"

Xiao clenched his fist then walked over to his bedroom door.

"Ah, Xiao, how is that letter coming along?"

Xiao snapped his head back to him. "How did you know about that..."

Albedo had a small soft smile on his face as he removed the glasses from his face. "Well... I suppose you just looked too cute when you were stressing about it that I couldn't help but stare outside your door. So, who's it addressed to? I can aid you if you'd like."

Xiao scoffed. "What makes you think I need your help or that I want to talk to you?"

Albedo stood up and carefully walked over to Xiao, standing infront of him, the two face to face. "I've had my fair share of writing letters. I can also perhaps aid you with how to write what you're feeling as you seem to be having trouble. Now, tell me. Who's the letter for?"

"...it's for Aether"

Albedo's smile slowly faded. "Ah... that boy... well, I suppose I can still help you. So, what do you say?" He extended his hand out to Xiao.

Xiao stared at him. Sure, Albedo was great at writing. But he didn't want to talk about feelings to him. Especially after what he's done to Aether and himself. But, he needed this letter. Aether's birthday was coming and he needed it to be ready by then.

"...Fine"

Albedo nodded then followed Xiao into his room, taking a quick look around the following Xiao to his desk. He stared down at the paper only to see it blank.

"You haven't written anything yet?" Albedo sounded amused.

Xiao groaned. "I don't even know what to write."

Albedo leaned over Xiao's shoulder, staring at the blank paper. "Well, you're trying to tell him how you feel, isn't that right?" He asked dryly.

Xiao nodded and sunk his head into his arms, looking down at the phone in his hand. He scrolled through his photos, then being filled with pictures of many different cats, Aether, and a few photos that Ganyu snapped of the both of them.

Xiao clicked on one of the photos of the blonde, his heart pounding faster than usual just by the sight of his smile. God, he really felt like a drug to him.

"Xiao?"

Xiao slowly raised his head off the table, glancing back at Albedo. "What?"

Albedo pulled out a small piece of paper from his pocket and slid it over towards Xiao. "Use that for inspiration. Other than that, I think you already know what to write. I'm sure you know how much it hurts to see someone you love in love with someone else? Yes, that's what I'm feeling right now. So I shall be off, goodnight, Xiao." And with that Albedo left the room, leaving Xiao staring at the door for a few seconds before looking back at his paper. Maybe he did have a few ideas.
