Stay Away From Him

No One's POV:

Venti stared at his blonde friend, a look of confusion across his whole face. "I- did you just... what?"

Aether tilted his head to the side, avoiding all I contact with the braided haired boy in front him. The blonde didn't even want to think about it.

"Aether I-" Venti was suddenly interrupted by the sound of the door barging open, a familiar blonde girl walking through it with an angry expression on her face. "VENTI WHERE THE FU- oh Aether!" The short haired blonde quickly ran over to her brother, wrapping him in a tight hug.

"L-Lumine? What are you doing here..." Aether said quietly, small strands of hair falling over his eyes as he let his body fall limp into his sister's warm embrace.

He heard Lumine let out a small giggle before placing both her hands on either side of her brother's face, staring at him with a warm smile. "I could sense that you were crying so I came over."

"H-how'd you know?" The boy asked, small tears threatening the corners of his eyes.

Lumine smiled again at him with bright, golden yellow eyes, identical to his own except, Aether's were not so bright at this moment.

"You know I can sense whenever you feel down right? It's kinda like a 6th sense for me" Lumine joked as she wrapped her arms back around her taller brother. "So, who's life do I have to ruin?"

Aether choked out a laugh. "N-no one's Lumine... after all, there's nothing I can change now..."

Lumine stayed still for a few seconds before pulling her brother closer to herself. "...It's about Albedo isn't it."

The blonde boy tensed after those few words. There's no way his sister could've possibly know about what happened. As he tried to open his mouth to speak, small tears started to stream down his face, the droplets falling onto his own lap, sprinkling his pants with small little dots of tears. He immediately choked on his own words after trying to speak, shoving his head into his sister's shoulder and sobbing. Lumine smiled softly then caressed his head, stroking the back of his golden locks.

"Geez Aether, you're getting my shoulder all soaked with your tears!" Lumine laughed as she pulled away from the hug.

Aether smiled slightly as he stared down at his shaking hands which were gripping his pants tightly. "S-sorry..."

Lumine slowly stood up from where they were sitting, walking over to Venti and whispering to him. Venti then whispered back, Lumine's face immediately growing grim and angry. "I'll be right back... take care of Aether until I'm back. Got it?" She said quickly at the dark haired boy before dashing out of the dorm room.

Xiao's POV:

I scanned through every single inch of this place, still no sign of Aether. He hadn't even returned to his dorm and didn't inform ne of where he ran off to, leaving me searching for him awkwardly in the halls.

I sighed, how did I get myself into this mess. This is like a scene from one of those dramatic ass romance movies except, now it's a reality.

'Love... how can you love someone you barely even know? What does Love even mean? Liking someone to an extent where you'd do anything for them? Fuck no. Love is just a stupid ass word. It means nothing. It's simply just another word in the dictionary'

I shook my head from those thoughts, attempting to also clear the scenes from my own dorm. The look of pure hurt and betrayal splattered on Aether's face, the look of pure greed and lust in Albedo's eyes... it's all too much. Right now, I just need to find Aether.

As I continued to walk, my eyes immediately latched onto a familiar bunch of blonde hair. "Aether-" But no, it wasn't him. Once I spoke out his name, the blonde haired girl immediately spun around, a look of pure hatred in her eyes as she glared at me.

"You..." Lumine started as she marched over to Xiao, standing right in front of him. "How could you do that?! I thought... I thought you loved Aether!" She said in pure anger.

Love huh? How could she possibly know.

"And you knew he liked Albedo too! I... I can't believe you would do something like this!" She yelled angrily as she gripped onto my shirt tightly.

"How do you know if I wanted this to happen? You don't. So shut your mouth and stop getting involved with stuff that doesn't involve you" I snapped at the blonde. I take it back, maybe she isn't someone I could get close to. Maybe they are both just like them... coming then fading. Leaving me to reach out to them constantly, never wanting to let them slip away.

Lumine's grip slowly loosened as she stared back up at me, small tears forming in her eyes. "...don't go near Aether again. You'll only break his heart more. And tell that to your buddy Albedo too. I don't want to see either of you two anywhere near him" She growled as she turned on her heel and walked down the hallway.

Every step she took seemed to be like every step I should take to distance myself from the world, from everyone.

"My my~ isn't that unfortunate. We both have to stay away from Aether. Maybe we can finally spend some quality bonding time alone. We've missed out on a lot of that now haven't we?"

I snapped my head around, immediately pinning the ashy blonde haired boy against the wall. "You fucking bitch, I don't want to have anything to do with you so get away from me!"

The boy smiled, laying his finger underneath my chin and lifting my face up. "You know, I find your slightly shorter height kind of charming"

I instantly glared bullets through him, gripping onto his neck tightly while holding him slightly above the floor. "I said stay away from me." I quickly let go of the boy's neck, hearing him clear his throat form behind me. I turned around and began to walk away. One thing on my mind.

Finding Aether.
