Xiao POV:

I had set my self down on the couch, staring at the ceiling fan turn around and around for a few minutes. The ginger's knocking seemed to be gone and I didn't hear his annoying voice anymore. The way he calls my name irritates me.

Not much longer, there was a small knock on the door. I slowly slipped off the couch and onto my feet. It better not be that ginger haired bean pole.

I reached out to the doorknob and turned it, opening the door.

"Listen here, didn't I already tell you to-"

As I looked up, my eyes locked with familiar amber ones. Those that belonged to none other then Zhongli. As I glanced behind him, I caught a glimpse of two other people. Aether and the ginger.

"What were you saying, Xiao?"

I looked back at Zhongli and shook my head slightly.

"Nevermind... it's nothing"

"Childe came into my room informing me that you were locking him out of the dorm?"

I nodded. "I'd rather keep 10 rats in my dorm than share a room with him"

Zhongli chuckled slightly at that then rested his hand onto my shoulder. His presence was warm. It reminded me of Ganyu.

"If you'd like, I can request that you and I switch dorms."

I snapped my head back to his direction. What did he say?

"What?"

"Unless you're fine with staying here that is"

I hesitated for a moment. "...I don't care. Do what you want"

I reached my hand towards the door to shut it but Zhongli held it open.

"I'll speak to Mrs. Beidou about it. Now, put up with Childe until then will you?"

I glanced over at the ginger who in return, gave me a smirk. I would've punched him right there if Zhongli weren't here.

"Fine"

Zhongli smiled softly. "Thank you Xiao. I'll be back later to let you know about the rooms"

Zhongli waved goodbye to Childe and I as he walked back to his room, leaving Aether behind, standing awkwardly in front of our dorm room.

"Did you need something?" I asked the blonde.

His head swung to my direction and he begun to fidget with his long braid. "Erm... no. I was just curious about the 'cat' in your dorm"

Cat?

"There's no cat here"

"Childe mentioned an angry cat that was shoving him out of his room?"

It suddenly clicked into my head. I was the cat.

I glared back at Childe who grinned and scurried off further into the room.

I let out a small sigh before turning my attention back to Aether. "That was just bullshit. Almost everything that guy says is bullshit"

Aether laughed softly. His smile was nice.

"Well, if you do switch. You'll be sharing a room with Albedo and I! Bye Xiao!" The blonde waved goodbye to me and ran off back to his room.

I watched as he made his way down the hallway. Sharing with Albedo... that'll never work out. Especially with Aether there. I shook my head, clearing my thoughts and entering the room.

As I walked down the narrow hallway that led deeper into our room, i noticed that the once perfectly spotless room was now littered with garbage from that overgrown ginger.

I turned my attention to him and glared at him. The only thing he did was laugh. "Aw, did I make the poor kitty mad? Oh~ whatcha gonna do about it huh?" He smirked.

"... I'll put a spear down your throat"

"Now now, let's not get violent here! No need for any of that really!"

Nevermind. I'm not putting up with this one all year.

Just as I was about to reply, my phone rung. I glanced down at the small gadget in my hand and noticed that the call was coming from Ganyu. I glared once more at the ginger before jogging off to my room, shutting the door behind me and answering the call.

"Hello?"

'Oh Xiao! It's a relief to hear your voice... how is it over at the dorms? Not too bad I hope... have you been eating properly? Drinking? Did you forget your pills? I can come bring extra if you nee-'

"I'm fine Ganyu. Of course I have the pills"

I heard her let out a sigh of relief from the other end,

'Okay good... you are going to come back and visit the house right?'

"Yeah. I plan on coming during the weekend"

'Oh! Great great! I'll make sure to cook up your favourite, almond tofu!'

I could practically envision how happy Ganyu looked based on her voice.

"Thank you, Ganyu."

'Of course! Anyways, I'll call you again later okay? I've got to go get groceries. Take care Xiao!'

"You-" Before I could finish my sentence, she had already hung up. "Too..."

I set down my phone on the nightstand then looked over at my door, flinching slightly once I saw the tall ginger leaning against my door frame with a smug look plastered on his face.

"That your girlfriend? Who knew such a grumpy little kitten such as yourself could get someone to like them"

"She's not my girlfriend. She's... just a close friend. Like a sister"

"Uh huh? Is that so... well then, you might just have to introduce me"

I glared at him. "She wouldn't be interested in meeting you. Besides, aren't you already interested in someone else?"

Of course he's interested in Zhongli. It's obvious. That's one thing I don't agree with.

He chuckled and only smirked at me. "What? Suddenly you know everything about me?"

"No. I simply know what it's like. Besides, you don't really keep it a secret"

He raised an eyebrow at me. "Oh? Does the kitty cat like someone?"

"Call me that one more time and I will slit your throat"

He laughed again. "What? Don't like the nickname?"

As I was about to respond, my phone popped up with a message. It seems anytime I attempted to speak I was interrupted.

I reached over for my phone and glanced down at it. It was a text from Zhongli.

'It's been done'
