In the darkness of the laboratory Hoseok stared at the screen of his laptop, fingers steepled beneath his chin as he looked over Y/N's public record.

She's completely clean.

Not even a damn parking ticket.

He sighs, tired eyes squeezing shut before he forces them open again.

There's got to be something.

He knows for sure that she's isn't lying, their conversation earlier revealed that much to him but something didn't make sense....something didn't add up.

During all the years Bangtan have lived and worked together they've never allowed someone to come between them like this and the entire thing unnerves him.

Jungkook went MIA (messed up a mission in the process) for this woman which he's never done before.

Taehyung put the entire team at risk, even went as far as defying Namjoon and leaving Yoongi (one of his own damn teammates) behind in Paris to see her.

Jimin was allowing his tempter to control him which hadn't happened in years.

Yoongi already seemed intrigued by her and that's not something that usually happens with him as he's usually far more standoffish and guarded.

Namjoon had been far too quiet even for him and that was never a good sign.

....and then there's Jin, who for some reason doesn't seem to be acting any differently.

Why?

Why did Jin seem to be the only one who wasn't drawn in by this woman?

Because if Hoseok is honest, he's drawn....he's extremely drawn.

"This is maddening." He mumbles to himself, fingers pushing his hair back as he tries in vain to put the pieces together.

He can't deny that Y/N is beautiful, not exactly a classic beauty but there's something there, something about her that just seems to call out to him. It's nothing overwhelming, he doesn't feel the need to constantly stay by her side like Tae and Guk, he doesn't feel intrigued to learn more about her like Yoongi (he's not even sure what Namjoon feels as he seems to be keeping it close to his chest) but he does feel comfortable around her, like he can trust her with his life. How is that even possible? He doesn't even know her, they only just recently met. So why does he feel like he needs to share everything with her? Why is he angered by Jimin's obvious hatred for her? He's never felt like this before, never felt like he's losing his edge.
