Wooyoung studied the man opposite him, surprised was an understatement when Namjoon reached out to arrange a meeting as the stoic individual usually sent one of his team.
What has him wanting to do the reaching out himself this time?
He was certainly curious.
"Cigarette?" The silver haired liaison cocked a brow quizzically as he opened a rumpled pack of Marlboro.
"No, quit months ago." Namjoon leaned back against the brick, arms crossed over his chest.
"Okay, you've got my attention. I want to know why Kim Namjoon who never usually wastes his time with the Seoul degenerates is here wanting to speak with little old me, usually you send Hoseok."
"I used to send Jimin but then we all know how they turned out."
Wooyoung smirks around the cigarette, inhaling as he gives a nod.
"Yes, you did. It's not my fault that you had to send Hoseok instead either, Jimin was always fully aware that what we had was casual. It's not my fault that he's incapable of having a normal relationship, he fucks around and uses sex as a way to escape yet the moment I did it with someone else suddenly I'm the bad guy." Wooyoung clicks his tongue in annoyance.
"Stop talking shit Wooyoung, we both know that he was different with you....that he was starting to open up."
Wooyoung remains nonchalant, eyes trained on the man opposite him as he takes another drag of his cigarette.
"Yeah well, Jimin isn't the only one incapable of having a normal relationship. Listen....." He sighs, drops the cigarette and crushes it with the heel of his boot. "....can we get back on topic here, why did you want to meet with me?"
Namjoon knows now isn't the time to get distracted, yes he's still bitter about the way Wooyoung treated Jimin but they had bigger things to focus on now and so for now he relents.
"You have connections with some of the biggest Jo-Pok cell groups in Seoul."
Wooyoung cocks a brow at this, surprised by Namjoon's curiosity.
"Why are you suddenly so interested in the Jo-Pok?"
Namjoon laughs at this.
"What did Jimin and Hoseok tell you about our group? When they first approached you and asked to be part of your network they told you that Bangtan were drug runners correct?"
Wooyoung nods, curiosity peaked.
"The drug running was a cover."
"For what?" Wooyoung straightens, eyes narrowing as he pushes off the wall.
"We work for a group called the Organisation, recruited from a young age and trained to become the best in our chosen field. I was the first to join, after my training was completed the role of leader was given to me by a man who goes by the codename Governor. I've never met the man, was never told much about the ins and outs of the people I work for either. I was simply told that we take on jobs given to us by those who pay enough, it's not our place to ask who these people are or why they want a certain job doing....we just follow orders and if we don't then the organisation makes sure we pay the price. The organisation are more powerful and dangerous than you possibly even begin to imagine, if you go against them you don't stand a chance."
"Then why are you telling me this?" Wooyoung questions, still reeling from the information Namjoon just provided him with.
"I have a contact in the organisation, someone who risks her life daily to bring me information about the Governor and what he's currently working on at headquarters. I always had a desire to learn more about the organisation, what it does behind closed doors besides taking on jobs from the highest paying customers. I've liased with my contact now for years, slowly gathering Intel. I know that they're not good people, that there's more going on behind closed doors and that innocent people are getting hurt. I'm no saint, I know this....but now they want Jungkook and Jungkook is my family just like the rest of the guys. I won't stand by and watch them take him, if the only way to save Jungkook is to take on the organisation then so be it."
"So the people who took you in, the people who trained you....want Jungkook? Why?"
"I can't tell you, not yet....but what I can tell you is that Jungkook is special and the organisation are afraid of his potential."
"Okay....say I believe you." Wooyoung paces, second cigarette resting between his lips. "Why tell me the truth? Why blow your cover? Why ask me about the Jo-Pok?"
"Bangtan are the best at what we do yet we can't take on the organisation alone."
"So you want me to arrange meetings with the various Jo-Pok cell groups? Why on earth would they help?"
"The Jo-Pok are the backbone of the Korean underground and nightlife industry, they're some of the most powerful men and women of Seoul. I know that with them we stand a chance against the organisation, just give me an opportunity to meet with them and I promise you they won't be disappointed with my offer."
"What exactly are you offering them?" Wooyoung narrows his eyes, there's absolutely no chance he's going to get a meeting with the Jo-Pok cell leaders if Namjoon doesn't offer something tempting enough.
"They thirst for money and power, you tell them that what I can offer is enough to triple whatever they currently earn and along with that money comes the power they so desperately desire."
"Well then." Wooyoung smirks. "When do you want this meeting arranged?
"Tomorrow, is that possible?"
The liaison pulls out his phone, types a message and smirks when he gets an immediate response.
"It's already done, you'll be contacted first thing tomorrow morning with a time and place. I truly hope you've made the right decision Namjoon, the Jo-Pok don't like to be messed around."
"I know what I'm doing."
"I'm sure you do." Wooyoung smirks then makes for the warehouse exit.
Now all Namjoon has to do is meet with the others.
Then make the organisation regret ever going up against his family.
