"Can you meet me in the center?" you get a text from your boyfriend, Cameron. You smile to yourself reading the text over and over. Cameron was your boyfriend for about a year now, however you haven't seen him much lately. He was always busy with tours for magcon or just family things. You pull over a loose grey tanktop with white shorts.

You open the door of your local coffee shop, spying Cameron in a booth by the corner. You walk over putting your purse on the chair. "Hey." You smile pecking him on the lips before sitting down. He kisses back faintly giving you a small smile. "Hey."
He had his fingers folded. A server came, handing you a iced coffee, your favorite. "Are you getting anything?" you ask Cameron. He shakes his head, fiddling his fingers some more, you knew something was wrong. He didn't look to happy either. "What's wrong babe?" you ask.
He cringes, his face looked twisted. You felt your eyes grow wide in confusion. "Listen...y/n." he starts to say. You then felt your stomach turn into knots, you knew where this was going. He looked like he was in pain as you stare at him. He didn't give you any eye contact, he just stared down to his fingers. You wait for him to finish.
"This past year, has been great and all...It was probably one of the best years of my life with you in it. It's just that...I don't feel the connection we had before we started to date." He explains himself.
You open your mouth to speak, but noting comes out. "I don't want to pull you along with me anymore, we both deserve to be happy."
"You're...n-not happy?" you stutter feeling sad. He shakes his head softly taking a deep breath. You felt as if everything fell down in your world. Everything seemed to be perfect until now. "With all these events and stuff, I'm just so busy with everything. I feel guilty not seeing you as much anymore. I'll always still love you, but for now I think we should...ya know, spend some time apart." He lets out confidently. You felt small tears drip down your face and onto your arm. You didn't bother to wipe it off. Usually Cameron would do it for you, however he didn't. He sat on the other side of the table, trying not to look at you. It hurt to see him not care as much anymore, but it's what he wanted. You nod your head, accepting it. "Ok." You say holding your thighs together from underneath the table. "I'm sorry." He says quietly standing up from his chair. He walks over to you, kissing your forehead lightly. The feeling of his lips on your skin marked his territory. It would always be there, forever, showing how much he'll still be with you. You'll miss his smile, his lips, and his arms, his everything.

You keep your eyes on him, until you couldn't take it much any longer. He leaves the shop, making the door ring. You buried your head in your hands, trying not to bawl your eyes out. 'Stay strong' you say to yourself over and over again.
You and Cameron have been dating for almost a year, it felt as if he threw it all away...

You spend days, moping around. You felt worthless and empty. Without Cameron, you weren't complete at all. There was something missing. It was hard for you to deal with this, not being able to communicate with him anymore. Not even being able to call him, yours. You both were done and over with. Of course you still love him and all but it was true, you both needed to be happy.
You'd walk around town, hearing his voice. Even seeing him sometimes, you'd dream about him. You'd take in your time as you see him in your thoughts, it was the only thing you had left.
You went through boxes and boxes of tissues and chocolates. You didn't go out as much without him in your life. You stayed in bed all day, hoping for the best, knowing it wouldn't really happen.
You eventually watched almost every movie on Netflix, at this point, you knew it. Your life was pathetic and you even admitted it. You check your phone frequently to see if he tweeted, or posted anything. Whenever he did tweet, he sounded normal as if this whole thing didn't affect him at all. He was his regular self, not hurting while you drown yourself in your own misery; it wasn't fair.
