"C'mon Y/N!" your mom calls you. You were in the bathroom, getting ready for your family dinner. You finish applying mascara on your top lid, fixing your dress. It was white, tight on the top and flowy on the bottom. The material was soft as you pronounce each touch with your fingertips. You paired your outfit with a long chained necklace. You kept your hair wavy and natural, leaving the bathroom to see your family waiting. They look at you with wide-eyes. They looked just about ready. "Geez, you take forever.'' Your little brother says as you roll your eyes.
"Are we all ready?" Your father asks. Your whole family looked somewhat fancy, with the dress shirts and skirts. You follow them out the door, slipping your sandals on. "Where are we going to eat?" you ask curiously, arriving to the elevator. Your mother presses the button, turning to you. "The hotel has a very nice restaurant just outside the beach." She explains. You nod your head feeling the vibration in your stomach. You haven't ate much today.
You walk with your family over to the restaurant which was a short distance. It was five o'clock once you arrived. You scan over to the colorful horizon, the smell of the beach, and the people. They smiled, looking welcoming, bringing drinks to each table. You smile back ordering a water, enjoying the view of the ocean. You ignore and block your familys' comments. You feel the wind blow against your face as you see more people walking on the beach. They were probably viewing the sunset, you thought.

You visualize each family until you set your eyes on one. It was a larger family than yours. You see a large man with broad shoulders, grey hair and blue eyes, the older boy seemed similar with brown eyes instead. You saw the mom, blonde hair, and also two younger boys. They both looked similar in a way, however different. They both had brown hair and blue eyes; one looked older than the other. You couldn't hold your smile as you watched them.
"Y/N?" you hear. You flutter your eyes open as if you were waking up from a dream. "Yeah?" you say turning to your family, they were all staring at you with blank faces. "Honey, are you okay?" your mom asks concernedly. "Yeah, I'm fine mom." You say partially annoyed. "She's dreaming about those boys over there." Your little brother says as you kick him from underneath the table. "OW." He hollers as you cross your arms. "STOP." Your father says looking back at the menu with stern eyes. You turn to see your brother sticking his tongue out at you as you roll your eyes once again.
You look straight ahead at the table next to you, it was a perfect view. You watched the one boy who got your attention right away. He had long brown hair and wore a light purple colored dress shirt. He laughed at his familys' jokes. The sunlight shined right at him as if it was a meaning to you.
Your food finally comes; you receive your meal, feeling your mouth water heavily. You felt some eyes on you, but you knew it was from a distance. You start to eat your salad, looking up in front of you. The boy from the other family glances as you, as you both exchange stares. You saw a small smile appear on his face as you blush down. You tuck a piece of hair behind your ear, looking down. You felt a nudge under the table once again, coming from your brother. "What?" you spat.
"He's making me feel uncomfortable." He says. "He's not looking at you dummy." You say with a hushed tone so your parents wouldn't hear. You look back to see his elbow on the table. He kept his gaze on you as you frequently look back at him. He gave you a nod, but not just any nod. It was a nod to follow him. You got the idea and excused yourself from the table.
"Don't you dare say anything, you little shit." You threaten to your brother as he evilly smirks at you. 'Ten." He responds.
"Five." You say back.
"Seven.'
"Deal." You say walking over to the bathrooms. You saw the boy walking around with his hands in his pockets. You approach him calmly as he sees you. "Hey." He smiles as you look into his deep blue eyes. "Hi." You say softly. "What's your name?" he asks politely as you processed in deep thought. Should you really give out your name to a boy you barley knew?
It's just a name.
"Y/N."
"Woah, that's a pretty name." he says almost shocked with big eyes. You knew your name was unique, that's why you loved it. You both started talking about your vacations, and how long you were staying. Turns out, both of you were staying for another week together. "We should hang out sometime." He starts to say until you hear your name being called once again. You turn around skeptically to see your little brother. He was waving you over as you look back at the boy. "I'll talk to you later?" you say with sadness in your voice. As much as you loved talking to him, you hated to leave him.
He waved as you walk back to your family.
"Jesus, were you taking a s..."
"STOP."
"Eww."
"Oh my god." You say annoyed the minute you sat down. "Do you want dessert?" your mother asks as she collects the bill. You shake your head as the server collects your plates.
Your parents leave the tip on the table as you all leave starting for the beach. You pass by the family, exchanging smiles with the boy. His brother nudged him giving him a smirk, making you blush again. It was now six o'clock, where the sun was about to set. It was a beautiful color. Orange and pink together made it look so pretty in the sky. You took your time in walking, admiring everything. You keep an eye on your family as they walk in the sand before you.
You then felt a hand tug on your wrist. You gasp surprisingly turning around to see the familiar blue eyes. "Oh hey." You smile seeing him one last time.
"You forgot something." He laughs. "What?" you asked confused as he gives you a piece of paper. "My number."
You take the piece of paper in his hands, feeling his soft lips on your cheek. "I gotta be going now." He says smiling over to you. He starts to walk away as you hold the small piece of paper closer to you. You wave one last time to him, unfolding the paper. You read the name "Hayes."
