A/N: I TOTALLY STARTED THIS YESTERDAY BUT THERE WAS A THUNDERSTORM AND IT WAS SUPER LOUD AND I GOT SCARED AND FORCED MYSELF TO SLEEP ON MY CLOSET FLOOR. SO ANYWAYS-

IT WAS 1 AM, miya sat at the end of the bed, while y/n was still sleeping soundly. the tv was playing some random cartoons he had put on, while he was texting langa, occasionally peeking up to make the sure the girl was alright. he had set out more pills for when she woke up, and set a trashcan next to the bed in case she had to throw up. he told reki and langa that you were sick, and apparently adam had agreed to racing reki, with the same wager. reki had lost when adam pulled his love hug move, miya was able to watch it online. the redhead took a pretty harsh fall, but it definitely could've been worse.

he turned, hearing stirring from the girl next to him. as he looked at her, she had curled herself into a ball, a distressed look on her face as she gripped at her head.

"y/n? are you alright- wha- hey! don't grab your head like that, you'll hurt yourself!" he got off the bed, walking beside her before prying her hands off her head, pulling her up in the process. she had attempted to fight back, but to no avail. "hey, hey calm down, here you can squeeze my hands okay?" he grabbed the girl's hands, she was quick to squeeze the hell out of them. she threw herself forward, digging her face into his shoulder.

due to the throbbing in her head, she had completely disregarded the hiss that left his mouth as she, most definitely, bruised his hands.

"d-does it hurt that bad? is it your head?"

the girl nodded in response, sobbing into his shirt.

what was this, the third time?

"here, come on, i'll make shadow pick us up, we're getting you to hospital. here, squeeze this pillow, okay?"

the art of passing out.

that's what y/n did!

well, not necessarily on purpose but.

waking up, the girl wasn't really sure where she was.

"oh, you're awake!"

after seeing the woman's scrubs and name tag, she realized.

a hospital?

"how are you feeling?"

"oh- um- better."

her voice was extremely raspy, but her head didn't hurt anymore.

"good! so, we figured out what was wrong. have you been taking care of yourself? do you have things you need at home, like food, water, a bed?"

confused, the h/c haired teenager just nodded.

"well, when we ran some tests, it seems like you haven't been drinking or sleeping enough. you'll probably get released later today, alright? and when you do you need to make sure to take good care of yourself, otherwise you could get badly sick again."

she nodded again as the nurse checked her vitals.

"oh! and you have a visitor! would you like me to let them in?"

muttering a quick "sure", y/n rubbed her eyes. i mean, who knew not taking care of yourself could make you sick?

okay, probably a lot of people.

she turned to the door as the nurse opened it, miya quickly thanking her before walking in.

"finally, you're awake. how are you feeling?"

y/n hesitated before smiling.

"don't be such a worrywart! i'm fine now."

he raised an eyebrow at her scratchy voice.

"have you not been taking care of yourself?"

the girl just shrugged in response before plopping down onto the bed.

miya just huffed, sitting next to her on the bed.

"what? why are you staring at me like that?"

y/n didn't respond, instead opened her arms.

"wha- do you want a hug or something?"

"hold me."

the boy turned red almost immediately, yelling that she shouldn't say stupid things so calmly.
instead of responding, she just motioned for him once again.

he groaned, stuttering out for her to scoot over.

cheering, she did as told, a goofy grin on her face.

he lied next to her, facing her, but very clearly trying to avoid eye contact. of course, he didn't have to for long, as y/n buried her face into his shoulder, wrapping her arms around him in the process.

god, as if he wasn't red already.

carefully, he returned the action, wrapping his arms around her as his chin rested on top of her head.

he wasn't sure what it was about her. they hadn't known each other for too incredibly long, but something about her made him feel so free. like he could let his guard down around her, i mean, he felt so vulnerable.

but as long as she was there,

he figured it'd be okay.
