Mila and Lando were cuddled up on the couch together while watching friends. Lando occasionally looked at Mila, he loved how her face lit up when she laughed, it was cute, a laugh without sound. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders, not believing that he had dared to kiss her on the first day they met. It had been unbelievable really, they just met and had a strong connection already. It was past midnight when Lando realized Mila had fallen asleep. He lifted her up from the couch and laid her down in her bed. Lando hesitated, not knowing if he should sleep next to Mila in bed or take the couch.

Mila groaned as the sunlight made its way into her bedroom. A smile adorned her face as she thought about last night's events. Even though she had been in a car crash and she had a full-blown panic attack, having Lando close to her made everything better. She looked around and was a bit confused about how she got in her bed, she couldn't remember walking to her room last night.

Mila got disappointed as she realised that Lando must have left. She checked her phone for any messages, some from work but none other than that. Mila huffed, what should she expect, she doesn't have any friends. Her stomach sunk though, she felt quite disappointed that Lando didn't leave a message for her.

It was early, Mila had some time before she had to leave for work so she figured she could go out for breakfast. She walked towards the bathroom and brushed her teeth, looking at herself in the mirror. She looked good, happy. After brushing her teeth she put her hair into a messy bun and walked towards the kitchen to make herself a cup of coffee.

Mila stopped herself from walking as she saw Lando sleeping on the couch, he was still here. Her heart pounded against her chest, she looked at him. The small throw blanket she kept on the couch was draped over his legs, his mouth slightly open and soft snores coming from his mouth. He looked cute, handsome even. She began walking towards the kitchen and turned the coffee maker on. Once she had two cups of hot coffee ready, she walked back to Lando. She sat one cup on the side table and sat down next to him on the ground.

Mila's hand hovered over Lando's shoulder, she didn't want to wake him but she knew that they both had to work today. Mila shook Lando's shoulder and Lando stirred in his sleep. After a minute Lando's eyes opened and looked straight into hers. "Good morning," Lando said in his husky morning voice. Mila's heart fluttered and she waved back at him. She grabbed a notepad from the coffee table and began scribbling. Lando looked intently as to what she was writing. "Good morning sleepyhead, I made you some coffee." Lando smiled as he read the neatly written words. He loved her handwriting, it was elegant and somehow cute, just like her. He looked up at Mila's face, a light blush covering her cheeks at how close their faces were.

"Thanks, Mils, Mils, I like the sound of that. Is it alright if I call you that?" Mila nodded, feeling a lump in her throat, " My parents used to call me that," she wrote down. Lando's heart flutters, "I feel honored that I can call you that then." Mila smiled and stood up, "I'm going to get ready, I was thinking we could go out for breakfast?" Lando nodded at her suggestion.

They both finished their coffee and Mila showed Lando to the bathroom so he could take a quick shower. Mila changed herself after having a quick shower as well and soon the two were walking towards a small bakery on the corner of Mila's street. As soon as they stepped in they were met with the scent of warm, fresh-baked bread, Lando's stomach immediately rumbled.

"Mila, darling, I haven't seen you in a couple of days, I was getting worried!" An older lady said as she smiled and gave Mila a brief hug. The woman was small and had short her, it was the kind of woman you imagine to be a sweet grandma. Lando looked as Mila signed something to the woman to which she nodded as she walked to the back. Lando and Mila sat down in a window seat, "I didn't know you speak sign language." Lando said Mila nodded and grabbed the small whiteboard from her purse. "Joan, the owner of this bakery, taught me. She had a deaf son, so it worked out for the both of us." Lando carefully read over the written words. "Had?" Lando asked Mila, she nodded and began writing again. "He passed away a couple of years ago from a heart attack." Lando nodded and looked around the bakery.

Joan walked back over with a tray full of food, "so, breakfast, this is Mila's usual breakfast order, but for two. And who may you be?" Joan asked as she looked at Lando. "I'm Lando, Mila and I work together." Joan nodded. "Nice to meet you, Lando, I'm Joan. Enjoy your breakfast kids." Joan said as she walked away to help some new customers.

"You come here often?" Lando asked with a mouthful of his chocolate croissant. Mila laughed and nodded her head. She dusted the crumbs off her hands and picked up her marker. "I come in almost four times a week. Joan really took care of me after my parents died, she knew my parents too, as we came here often on the weekends." Mila wrote down.

Lando pulled out his wallet as they finished breakfast but Joan stopped him. "It's on the house, I think I will be seeing you here more often so keep that money in your pocket," Joan said as she looked between Lando and Mila, which made Mila blush. Lando thanked her and Mila waved as they made their way out of the cafe. They walked towards Lando's car and stepped in.

Lando watched as Mila secured her seatbelt and gripped it tightly, "Are you alright? Maybe you should call in sick after yesterday's crash." Lando said with a concerned look on his face. Mila shook her head, Lando was hesitant but brushed it off and started the car. "Is there anything I can do to make you feel more comfortable?" Mila nodded as a foolish smile crossed her face, "Can I play some music?" Lando nodded and handed his phone to her. Smooth '80 pop filled the car and Lando drove off to their office.

Lando occasionally glanced at Mila, she was swaying to the music and she sometimes even playbacked bits. This was nice, even though no words were spoken, it was comfortable to be around one another.

Lando pulled into the parking lot of MTC, he turned off the engine and looked at Mila, who was gathering her belongings before checking herself in the mirror. "Mils?" Mila turned to Lando with a questioning look. "Do you.. Maybe.. Don't feel pressured to say no, you totally can. But I was thinking.." Mila put her hand on Lando's arm and gave it a reassuring squeeze, as to say, don't worry just ask me. Lando chuckled and took a shaky breath. "Do you want to go on a date with me?" Mila blushed but didn't hesitate to nod her head. "Phew, I was scared you would turn me down. I know we just met but I like you. So it's out there, I like you." Mila laughed and leaned over to give Lando a kiss on his cheek.

They both stepped out of the car and as if it timed, Daniel Ricciardo stepped out of his car as well. "Well, Well, well, what do we have here?" Mila waved shortly and Lando gave Daniel a fist bump. "Hey Dan, how's it going?" Daniel smiled, "I'm quite alright. Buzzy day ahead Mila?" Daniel asked her and Mils only nodded. They stepped into the building and Mils took out her whiteboard, "I'm going to my office, I will see you at two for that interview alright Lan?" Lando nodded, "See you later Mils." Mila blushed as they stared at each other a bit too long before she waved at Daniel and made her way to her office.

Lando and Daniel both took the elevator to the sim room for some practice for the upcoming, first race of the season. "So, you and Mila huh?" Daniel stated with a smirk on his face. "Oh shut up," Lando said with a bit of embarrassment as he shoved Daniel aside so he could get out of the elevator.
