Lando was helpig the crew break down the garage after the race in Portimoa, they had just taken the team photo and Lando was wearing his tight fitted, orange shirt, which showedd off his well build fysique. Mila was watching from afar, admiring her handsome boyfriend when someone tickled Mila from behind. Mila let out a squeal, causing some of the mechanics to look at her. Mila swatted Daniels chest when she saw it was him, "I just wanted to say bye, sorry for scaring you." Daniel said with a cheeky smile. Mila gave Daniel a hug, "I will see you in just a few days Dan." Mila gave Daniel a warm smile. Daniel walked out of the garage, probably heading towards the airport so he could have a few days at off home in Monaco. Mila longged for a few days at home just lounging and doing nothing, but time off has to wait, because tomorrow they are flying straight to Barcelona for the next GP.

Music was blasting through the garage, Lando humming along to a song that blasted through the speakers. Everyone was just minding their own bussness as everyone wanted to head out to relax at the hotel. Lando was moving some oil to a box when he trippted and dropped one off the jugs with oil. He hadn't put on the lid correctly which caused the contents of the jug to spill ver the floor. "fuck," Lando cursed, he looked around to see if anyone saw him drop the oil. His face turned red as some mechanics laughed at him. He grabbed some paper towels and tried to clean up his mess, he looked up annd saw Mila aproach him. Mila had a bright smile on her face as she saw her boyfriend, Lando was distracted by her smile when he realised he needed to tell her to slow down. "Mils, watch out!" Mila looked confused but it was too late as she slipped on the oil Lando just spilled. Mila's feed gave away and she fell backwards, she tried to cathc herself but it was no use, Milas body hit the ground while her head hit a metal cart.

Time seemed to stop as Lando looked at his girlfriend, she laid there on the ground, her body was still, no movement in her body. Lando hurried over to Mila, he tried to look fo her pulse but the only thing he could hear and feel was his own heart hamering in hi chest. Her eyes were closed, her arms were laying by her side, and blood was oozing out off her head. Lando was a statue, he couldn't bring himself to move his body. He knew he needed to call for help but no sound wanted to come out of his throat. Luckily, people gathered around Lando and Mila as her fall made a loud bang. Someone pulled Lando away while paramedics examined Mila, Lando looked up to see Charottle, the head of media. She just pulled Lando into her embrace, trying to comofort him. "It will be alright Lan, she is a strong girl," Charlotte tried to comfort him. The paramedics were rushing, it didn't look good, Lando was in panic as he saw they were rushing Mila out of the garage. Charlotte gabbed Lando's hand and dragged him towards the entrance of the paddock, they rushed towards a car and Charlotte sat behind the steering wheel. She started the car and rushed behind the ambualnce that took of with it sirene. Lando just looked at the ambulance as they rushed through the streets, time seemed to pass by very slow but in reality it took them only minutes to reach the hospital.

Charlotte and Lando rushed towards the emergency entrance as they spot Mila on the stretcher.They run in after the paramedics but are stopped by a nurse when they wheel Mila into an examination room. "You can't come in here," A nurse said with a sympathetic smile on her face. "You can wait in the family room and I will let you know when I have news. Charlotte thanked the nurse and guided Lando towards the family room. Lando sat down on one of the hard, uncomfortable plastic chairs, he let his head fall into his hands. "It's my fault," Lando whispered, barely audible but loud enough for Charlotte to hear. Charlotte gave Lando a confused look, "What do you mean, Lan?" Lando rubbed his face, "I dropped the oil, I didn't get to clean it up in time. It is my fault she slipt and hit her head, " tears streamed down Lando's face, Lando's heart was beating rapid in hs chest, his breathing picked up and his surroundings seemed to spin. Charlotte looked at Lando beside her and could see that Lando was getting restless. "Lan, you need to calm down, you are working yourself up," Lando tried to listen to Charlotte's voice, he breathed along with her, causing his breathing to slow down.

"Listen to me Lando, it is not your fault that Mila is here right now, you can't blame yourself and live with guilt.What you do need to do is be here, be here when she wakes up and just hold her hand, just be there for her." Lando stood up and gave Charlotte a big hug, "Thank you, for being here for me, not just now but always." Charlotte's heart clenched with pride, she couldn't believe how much more mature lando had gotten since he joined Mclaren, it was unfortunate that this was the moment that came up.

The two collegues just sat next to each other in silence, Charlotte's hand wrapped in Lando's, the comfort of each other was enough to get time to pass. After what felt like hours, the door to the familyroom opened and a doctor stepped in. Lando emidiatly let go of Charlotte's hand and stood up. "How is she?" Lando asked the doctor, who sat down on a chair i the waiting room. The doctor sighed, "She is awak.." Lando showed a confused look on his face, he didn't understand, "That is good news right?" The doctor nodded,"That is good news, sure, but.. Mila has suffered memory loss, she thinks it is 2019." Lando couldn't process what the doctor had said to him, "She.. She just two years of her memory?" Lando asked confused, the doctor nodded his head, "She is allowed to leave the hospital, but it is key that someone keeps an eye on her. Does she have family to take care of her?" Lando closed his eyes in defeat, "No, her parents died two years ago in a car accident, and after that she had just been on her own, I am the only family she has right now. But.. I don't think she remembers me.. We hadn't met two years ago." The doctor padded Lando's leg, her memories will come back over the next couple off weeks, just try to make her feel comffortable, don't drop too much shockin news on her at once. I will bring her discharge papers to her room in a bit, you can go see her now." Charlotte thanked the doctor and stood up, she turned around when she realised that Lando wasn't following after her.

"Are you coming Lan?" Lando bit his bottom lip, "I don't know if that is such a good idea, I don't want to startle her if she doesn't know who I am." Charlotte took Lando's hand and pulled him of his seat, "Come on darling, she needs you right now, even if she doesn't realises it. Lando sighed and walkes after Charlotte. Charlotte walks into the room first, just so Mila has a familiar face to addapt to. "Hey Mila how are you?" Charlotte askes as she walks into the room. Charlotte sits down next to Mila and takes in her face. Mila has tears in her eyes and she looks distraught. Charlotte takes Mila's hands in hers, she feels Mial's trembeling hands. Lando hesitantly walks into the room after knocking on the door, the two women watch the door open and close as lando walks into the room. Mila's eyes widen and she looks at Charlotte with panick in her eyes. Mila couldn't believe that Lando Norris was standing in her room, actually she couldn't believe anything that was happening right now, she didn't know where she was right now or what had happened, she just wanted her parents right now. Mila tried to talk, but no sound came out, her brows furrowed as she tried to speak again. Charlotte looked at Mila with a sympathetic look on her face, she grabbed a notepad out of her back andhanded it to Mila. Lando took a chair and sat down on the opposite side of Charlotte, close to Mila but at the same time keeping his distance.

Mila grabbed the notepad and pe from Charlotte, her hands were trembling and she was strugling to write. "Why can't I talk? What happened to me? Where are my parents? And what are you doing here Lando?" Charlotte sighed and stood up, "I'm going back to the track, I will come and get you two in a bit. I need to let everyone in the garage know that you woke up and are alright." Lando nodded, "Thanks Charlotte, we will see you later." Charlotte gave Mila and Lando a kiss on their cheek before walking out of the room and making her way to the car.

"Lando? I'm really confused right now. I don't understand what you are doing here, I know who you are, but how do you know me? We have never met." Lando sighed, he was dreading having to tell her what had happened the past two years. Mila still had tears in her eyes, she was scared and confused and she just wanted to go home to her parents.  "Lando, it is really nice to meet you and all, but can you just call my parents and tell them to come get me, I want to go home." Mila was confused when Lando grabbed her hand and rubbed the back of it. "Mils, I can't call your parents because they passed away two years ago.." finally the tears spilled out of Mila's eyes, her hands going over her mouth as she let out uncontrolable sobs.
