Lando was busy with a team briefing, causing Adam and Mila to sit in Lando's driver's room together. Mila was on her laptop, answering some emails while Adam watched the support race on the tv monitor. It was silent in the room, awkward and almost painful. Mila could hear Adam sigh and turn off the tv, Mila looked up at him and closed her laptop. She crossed her legs and looked at Adam, waiting for him to start talking. "Can I ask you something?" Adam nodded and patiently watched as Mila was writing. "Why do you hate me?"  The question caught Adam off guard. "I don't hate you, Mila, I'm just looking out for Lando. I just want to make sure that you are here for the right reasons, and right now I don't see a plausible reason for you to be here." Mila was getting annoyed, "Why is it so hard for you to believe that I have no bad intentions with Lando." Adam closed his eyes briefly, "Because this world that Lando is in, is horrible, and I just want to make sure he doesn't get hurt." "I hate to break it to you, but you can't protect Lando forever. And it is not my intention to hurt him, but Lando will get hurt eventually and you can't walk behind him all his life and protect him!" Mila stood up, pacing around the room, "I don't know anything about you, so tell me why I should trust you, tell me why I should believe you won't hurt Lando!" Adam almost screamed.

"I have been hurt in the past too. Not the way you would think but.." Mila took a deep breath, "I was in a fatal car accident, which made me lose both of my parents on impact. So, yes I know what it is like to get hurt. The accident caused me PTSD, which caused me to go mute." Mila sat down next to Adam and sighed, "I get that it is hard for you to understand, but I'm looking out for Lando too. I can't promise you that I won't hurt Lando, but I know there is a possibility that Lando will hurt me too. But that is how relationships work, that is how it works when you love.." Mila took a deep breath, "When you love someone, and I love Lando, and I will do anything, just for his happiness."

Adam and Mila looked up at the door from the driver's room when they heard it close. "You love me?" Lando asked as he stood in dumfounded in the door opening. Mila blushed feverishly, her cheeks getting red. Adam stood up, "I think I will go for a walk around the paddock, I will see you, kids, later." He walked out and closed the door behind him. Mila walked closer to Lando until they stood across from each other, so close their chests were touching. Lando wrapped his arms around Mila's waist, "I love you too, just so you know.." Lando whispered against Mila's lips before kissing her. Mila pulled away and made the ASL sign for I Love You, Lando grinned returning the sign. "So you had a good talk with my dad right?" Mila shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know, I talked but then someone interrupted us before he could say anything." Mila playfully nudged Lando. "I will talk to him later when you are in the car." Lando kissed Mila one last time before they had to go out for some media duties.

Mila watched Lando while he was giving an interview with sky sports, Mila wasn't listening until she heard something that caught her attention."So, Lando, we noticed that you are smiling so much more, you look happier than ever. Is there a reason for your change of mood, a girlfriend perhaps?" The interviewee asked with a suggestive tone. Lando briefly looked at Mila, who bit her lip but nodded her head. "Well, it hurts that you think that there has to be a reason for me being happy. But to answer your question, I have a girlfriend yes. We are very happy and that is all I'm going to say about it." Mila was satisfied with the answer as Lando wrapped up the interview. Lando approached Mila, "Hey, was that okay?" Mila nodded, "It was perfect, I hope it gets them off your back."  Adam approached the couple, "Hey dad, have a good day?" Adam nodded, "Alright, I have to go, I have a meeting with Zak and Andreas. I will see you guys later, alright?" Mila waved at Lando and Adam just nodded.
