Nox's POV
"Uhm, I-I don't know what to say." She said, trying to break the deafening silence.
I just looked at her with a grave look. "You don't have to say anything." I replied.
"You see Nox, if that's the reason kung bakit ka di nakikipag-kaibigan...hindi sapat na dahilan ang pagkawala ng isang tao para tumigil ang mundo mo. The world has so much more to offer Nox. You're just surrounded by it's negativities." She said.
"You don't know how excruciating it was." I said.
"Listen to me, people come and people go. Those person we meet? All of them are destined to be part of our journey but we should accept the fact that not all of them were meant to stay until the end. Life is too short for us, I'm wishing that you'll see the beauty of life." Her mouth curved into a smile as if she's assuring me that everything's gonna be fine. I gave her the same plain look.
'You see, I don't really know if I will be able to see it's beauty. Because I, myself doesn't know if I really am prepared to accept my reality.' I wanted to voice it out but nevermind. We both look into the door when someone open it.
"Oh mga bata, nandyan pa pala kayo. Anong ginagawa nyo pa dito? Alas siyete na!" Ani ng janitress.
"Pasensya na po nay, pinagbasa po kasi kami rito ni Ms. Ara. Tapos na-lock." She said.
"Kayo talagang mga bata kayo, hala magsi-uwi na kayo't baka hinahanap na kayo." Ani to.
I wish. Dere-deretso akong naglakad without looking at them, I'm about to get in the car when someone shouted. "Nox!"
"Yeah?" I replied.
"Take care." She said while smiling at me. Geez, this girl is really something.
"Get in." I said.
"W-what?" She asked.
"Get in."
"No need, magko-commute nalang ako." Ani to.
"Come on, it's getting late. Get in." I replied. Mukhang nag-isip pa ito ng sandali bago pumasok.
"Ituturo ko nalang sayo yung daan." She said. I just nodded.
Athenna's POV
Another period of deafening silence. It's kinda awkward. Palinga linga lang ako. Titingin sa kanya, titingin sa labas. Man, this boy is so hushed.
"Do you mind if I kwento you?" I said. "Wait? Did you just laugh?" Tanong ko habang naka tingin sa kanya.
"No I didn't." He said.
"I swear, you laughed so timidly. I heard it."
"I did not." He said.
"Really?" Siningkitan ko lamang sya ng mata.
"Y-yes."
