JUNGKOOK'S P.O.V
"Korea's famed novelist J.JK is currently facing backlash for his stories, with some claiming that he has lost his touch... Who knew that a day like this would hit our favorite author J.JK."
My eyes were currently trained on the television screen because Jimin Hyung insisted that I watched the news for it was something related to me. I already knew what it was about, because of social media, so I don't get why I have to watch it on television.
I was barely paying attention to what the newscaster was saying, while Jimin Hyung was sitting beside me. His eyes glowered in annoyance as complaints flowed out of his mouth.
"Aish, How could they jump to conclusions like that? They haven't even heard your statement yet!" Jimin Hyung argued as he moved closer to the television screen with clenched fists. I decided to fully pay attention to what the newscaster has to say, then maybe I'll be as frustrated as he is.
"These are what some of the readers of J.Jk are saying." The newscaster announced as the vacant space next to her was now occupied by comments from my readers, but I couldn't identify them, because their usernames were blurred out along with their profile pictures. Though, I am relieved. At least, they won't get hate for the things they say about me.
I read what my fans have to say in my head.
___: I'm so disappointed. I think we as readers deserve a statement on why his writing is suddenly like this. Shouldn't he be more open to us? His fans?
___: Y'all better drop him. Let's give chances to other authors. Who are more talented than him.
I was about to read the third one, but Jimin Hyung had already done it for me.
"His stories are mediocre and dull anyway, why do you even support him?!" With him ending it with a shout. He didn't speak for a few seconds, but then abruptly turned in my direction.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA are you reading this right now?" Jimin asked me as he pointed at the comments behind him, that was slowly starting to fade away. I nodded my head as a response. The vagueness of my reaction made him frown as he scooted closer to me and asked,
"Are you really not gonna do anything about this, Kook?" He asked me. A concerned expression on his face. I looked away from him and back to the television once again to see that they had already moved on from me.
I turned to face Jimin again, who was still waiting for my response. I pointed to the television screen, with him following my gesture.
"Just like how the news changes its topics to discuss. They will slowly move on from mine." I told him. My response didn't satisfy him as he let out a frustrated sigh. "I know that-" I stood from the sofa not wanting to hear the same words that he has been telling to convince me to release a statement about this controversy regarding my stories.
