If making the wrong choices was an art, then Kevin Moon was practically damn Picasso with the way today had been going.

The time was around one o'clock in the afternoon; not that it mattered, as rather than the usual school schedule, special event plans had been lined up for the day.

Underclassmen were allowed to preview higher level courses that day, and Kevin, having skipped out the last time this had happened, was determined to take full advantage of the free opportunity to skip class.

Naturally, he'd dashed to the art room faster than an Olympic sprinter, and had resigned himself into attending an art class for no particular reason at all...

However, in the process of being caught up in his own stupid ideas, he'd completely failed to realize one thing:

His lovely new boyfriend, Jacob Bae, didn't have art class last period until tomorrow.

Thus here he sat alone at a table as the older students flooded into the room, all complete strangers. The bells had already rung, and with a sinking feeling in his chest, Kevin knew that it was too late to evacuate to another less awkward class.

A group of senior girls gave each other curious looks before approaching the table, scaring Kevin half to death as he realized they were about to talk to him.

"You here for the course preview?" one of the girls, a blonde with a bob cut, asked as she lightly tapped on the table to get Kevin's attention.

The introvert within him was already shaking in fear.
"Um, yeah..." he stated, barely strong enough to look up and meet her gaze.

"Ooh, cool!" another girl next to her, with black hair and bangs, lightly clapped her hands in amusement. "We normally sit here, is it okay if we stay?"

"Oh... of course," Kevin responded, his politeness outweighing his anxiousness. He definitely did not want to be such an inconvenience as to make them all move, and so the girls all began setting their stuff down around him, chatting to each other as if everything was normal.

And he somewhat regretted it, because as the class began, he'd never felt more alone and awkward in his life.
He couldn't even use his phone as a crutch— taking it out in class wasn't allowed.

For a little while, he glanced around like a lost child, watching the girls around him paint. Of course, while the whole point of this was to test out other classes, he still felt slightly creepy just... staring at them while they worked.

"Hey, newbie, could you pass me that cup?" the blonde asked, almost making Kevin jump in surprise.

"Mm, sure," he mumbled, reaching over to grab the glass of water she'd pointed it at and handing it to her.

"Ahh, not again," came the voice of their art teacher, a ditzy yet kind looking woman with glasses. "I think Bae left his jacket here."

The mention of that last name was akin to flicking a switch in Kevin's head. Immediately he was listening, as the art teacher continued talking.

"Is anyone here close with him? I'm tired of putting it in the lost and found," the woman continued, holding up a familiar dark jacket which just days ago had been on the floor of Kevin's bedroom.

"I—" Kevin began to raise his hand instinctually, yet stopped as he was interrupted by the black haired girl across from him standing up.
