The office was relatively quiet today, seeing as the provisional license exam season started today, so most people were out of the office to look at the new students. You didn't really bother, choosing to focus on the work more than anything else. You were an engineer, specifically, you worked under Edgeshot as his leading support team member. While many others saw you as a glorified support role, you did go through the hero course at Isamu Academy, so you were still considered a pro hero.

You were running calculations along a few different pieces of metal, trying to deduce the best possible distance before sawing it off to work on a piece of armor. The armor wasn't exactly meant for Edgeshot either. It was something for yourself so you could better assist him in battle. Your quirk was a passive one, something that you personally didn't like to brag about. But still, it did land you your job as a sidekick to the number 4 hero at the age of 19, so hey, any bit of exposure would help you out here.

As you were working, you heard the main door to the offices open and closed with Edgeshot's voice boom from one source. You elected to not worry about it. Either he was on a call, or he was talking to one of his other 10 sidekicks. The door to your lab opened as well as Edgeshot walked inside.

Edgeshot: And here is our engineering lab.

Female: Not bad. But Seiai has a lab double this size.

Edgeshot: As true as that is, one cannot live at an institution for the rest of their days.

Female: Yes, but seeing this lab in comparison, it is a rather sharp downgrade.

(Y/N): Trust me when I say this, Edgeshot, she's not worth working here! If she can't appreciate the little things, I doubt she would appreciate the things we offer.

Female: Excuse me! As a rising pro hero, I am just concerned about the lack of material here in a pro hero-based establishment.

(Y/N): Big words won't get you far in life.

Edgeshot: (Y/N).

(Y/N): Just being honest with you, boss.

Edgeshot walked over to you and leaned down beside you. You didn't even flinch as you continued to work on the project at hand. He was clearly about to say something. But seeing as he went silent, you'd assume it meant either he stopped caring or he was trying to put his words into a delicate sense.

Edgeshot: We need more sidekicks here. With All Might's retirement, we could better utilize new heroes and-

(Y/N): Would you rather care more about the numbers or cooperation? You taught me that working together typically leads to our best results. Hell, isn't that why you wanted to start a team?

Edgeshot sighed a little and moved to stand up. He turned his head and nodded to the newest recruit who then walked over to stand on the other side of you.

Edgeshot: (Y/N), this is Saiko Intelli. She's a student from Seiai Academy. She performed admirably in her provisional license exam. She will be working under you for the next week while she is employed here.

(Y/N): Can you circumvent a power coupling?

Saiko: Yes.

(Y/N): Can you engage a radiation scale to tell proper power output?

Saiko: Of course. Easy work.

(Y/N): So then, I take it you have a great deal of technical know-how when it comes to a vast majority of construction and coding.

Saiko: Of course. I'm not dumb.

(Y/N): Good there is an open station across from me. Shut up, sit down and get to work. You're building a power coupling for a 2-ton battle suit. Get to work.
