It was a fresh new day in the town of Sol that you lived in. You took a deep breath and got out of bed and cracked your back. You walked down to your kitchen and began making breakfast for yourself. As you were working, you glanced out your window and saw her again walking down the road. Her name was Kali and she was beyond stunning.

Surprisingly, you and Kali had a somewhat friendship with one another with you being the town's librarian. And Kali, Kali loved reading. It was almost second nature to her. So, with that being said, you knew where she was going. The library wouldn't be open at least for another hour or so, she was either going to visit your shared friend, Ghira, or she would be knocking on your door to ask for something new to read. She was normally impatient about things like that.

Sure enough, she knocked on your door. You sighed and walked over and opened the door.

Kali: Hello Mr. (L/N). I was wondering if you-

(Y/N): Kali. You've been living in this town for seven months now and have come to me every week. So, please, call me, (Y/N). Come on in.

Kali: I'm sorry Mr.-(Y/N).

Kali followed you inside and she handed you the book she had taken out last week. It was "Maker's Town" a story of travelers going to a brand new land and facing off against pirates. You nodded and walked over to your small library and placed it inside. You scanned through the books and glanced back to Kali.

(Y/N): You've read "Man to the Moon"?

Kali: Yeah. Read that last month.

(Y/N): What about "War of Stars"?

Kali: Read that one too.

(Y/N): Wow...uh...how many have I lent you again?

Kali: At least 20. Maybe 25?

(Y/N): Uh. Good to know. (points to the kitchen) There is some coffee ready along some food. If you want, you can get some breakfast for yourself. It may not be fully ready, but it's still there if you want.

Kali nodded.

Kali: Thank you.

Kali walked into the kitchen and poured two cups of coffee as you looked over the books to find something for Kali to read. As you looked over the books. Some were war stories, others were psychological thrillers and others were romances. You groaned as you tried find something new for her. After not finding anything for almost a few more minutes, Kali walked back in and cleared her throat and got your attention.

You turned back and saw her placing two plates and coffee mugs onto a table behind you. You cocked an eyebrow as she saw down.

Kali: You should get something to eat.

(Y/N): Right. Sorry. I don't know why I'm having trouble with this. I never really do when I'm recommending books to someone.

Kali: I guess this is what I get for being an avid reader I guess.

(Y/N): Well, it is nice to know someone else in this town enjoys reading.

Kali: It's always nice to see people share in passions.

Kali offered you a smile which you returned while having an awkward glow to your face. It did get a small giggle out of Kali as the two of you ate. Surprisingly enough, you two entered a small conversation about some of the books you lended her while eating together. You also had to take into account Kali's amazing cooking abilities. The food presented to you was far better than anything you could have made.

As you both were talking, the lingering thoughts of trying to make it up to her came in. Ideas of either taking somewhere or you buying her something just to make up for the fact that you had no more material for her to read.
