You could feel the wind in your face as you rode down the road on your horse. It was one of your favorite things to do especially on days such as today. Sun was out, wind was steady, birds chirping. Everything was at peace...well...at peaceful as it could get. Well, at least now the world could be more safe than usual. You had just graduated from Beacon Academy under the direction of Headmaster Adrain Coolridge, a young apprentice, aid, and one of King Osric's old generals. Well...the former king. He did give up his crown after the Great War came to an end.

But here you were, a second-generation huntsman, one of the best actually. It also helped that you were half-trained by your wife and teammate Maria Calavera. She was crazy, sure. But that was one thing you loved about her. The two of you had moved to Southern Vale since you picked up a teaching job at Beacon that and your own apprentice. The kid's name was Ozpin. But that's not revenant right now.

You had finished off your patrol for the day and leapt off of your horse want you made it back home. You stretched a bit and walked back inside your home. You then saw your wife watching the news in the living room while sharping her scythe.

(Y/N): Ever the Reaper you are?

Maria: Ever the horseman you are.

Maria grabs some dirty clothes and throws them at you. You grab it and give her a deadpanned look.

(Y/N): Really?

Maria: Get folding.

You roll your eyes and began to fold some of your own clothing. Maria did the same just a few minutes later and the two of you went side-by-side. The two of you continued to work together and have some smiles on your faces. You then looked over past Maria and saw her skull mask on a table, freshly polished and cleaned.

(Y/N): Going on a mission soon?

Maria: Um? Oh, yes. Coolridge authorized a mission along the border between here and Vacuo. Shouldn't be too rough.

(Y/N): When do we head out?

Maria: Uh...Sweetie...this is MY mission. Not ours.

(Y/N): Oh...you sure? I mean, if what Coolridge, Oz and your father said, those eyes will make you a target.

Maria: (Y/N), I can handle it. Don't worry about me.

(Y/N): I know but-

You heard a loud crunch. You looked back over to your wife and saw her with a large bag of cashews in her hand. She looked back at you and continued to chew loudly on her little snack in the bag.

Maria: Hear that, (Y/N). That's the sound of me not caring!

You sighed and rolled your eyes and kept doing your house duties. Maria laughs to herself and you keep doing your chores. Maria gains an upset look and then slaps you on the back of the head, making you hold the spot in pain.

Maria: You're suppose to laugh!

(Y/N): (Mockingly) Ha, ha, ha! Aren't you the FUNNIEST person alive!

Maria: Don't be sarcastic with me! I am your wife!

(Y/N): You aren't the greatest good that ever came to me! That was my mother!

Maria: Screw your mother!

(Y/N): Up yours!

Maria: No! Yours!

You growled at one another and then began a small slap fight between the two of you. You both knocked your arms to your sides and glared at one another again. You both then smiled a bit before kissing each other real quick. After that back and forth, you and Maria had a sit down and talked for a little while about your days. In addition to being a teacher at Beacon, you had worked with local law enforcement and patrolled the local area.
