For the Love of Desolation (Sesshomaru x Rin) *Sequel*

Forgive me

In an instant, RIn felt a claw grasp around her neck. Everyone watched in horror at the scene that unfolded in front of their eyes.

"Do not test me Rin" 

Sesshomaru was frustrated, although his frustration was not directed towards anyone but himself. He felt confused and was more upset because he didn't know why.

"Let her go you bastard!." Inuyasha snarled, "If it's a fight you're after fight someone who aint afraid to kill you!" He yelled.

Rin struggled under his grip until Sesshomaru  spoke again,

"Since they're so keen on defending you, I should've left you here in this village with the rest of these filthy humans," Sesshomaru said sternly.

With those last words, RIn grabbed his wrist and slammed him against a nearby tree. She stood panting with eyes shadowed.

"I just don't care anymore... You have absolutely no excuse. You're angry for what exactly? Because you..., the great lord Sesshomaru... CANT EVEN TELL WHAT'S REAL ANYMORE!" She shouted.

Her words struck him. She read him like a book. How can she even be aware of his innermost thoughts? Sesshomaru was getting more and more irritated. He adjusted himself off the broken tree. He wasn't expecting her to fight back. Then the thought occurred to him... What if it were true? Her behaviors alongside everyone else have been off lately. It didn't help that these visions kept occurring for whatever reason so what if what the fox said was true? Why couldn't he remember? 

"I see... I will dismiss this behavior if only for this once." he glared at the group only to be met by Rin's fist.

"I will not." she stated.

Sesshomaru growled. He was far past irritated now, he was pissed.

"RIN STOP!" Kagome yelled.

"FIne! Have it your way," He whipped out his poisonous whip and slashed the air where she once stood. "Don't expect me to go easy!"

They sparred in the skies. Rins mind told her to stop, but her body urged her to continue. She was filled with hurt and anger. All the love she had for him was left in her garden. She felt nothing but anger towards him and he towards her.

Sesshomaru for some reason was not surprised by the power she had, although to his recollection they never fought before, it felt familiar... 

A new wave of flashed images came full force to his mind. Images of Rin fighting him just like now, but at a different time. 

(What sorcery is this!)

"Get out of my head!" he yelled.

He reached for Bakusaiga and with one fast motion, he swiped the air towards Rin.

The dust from the attack surrounded both of them. As the dust settled, rin laid unconscious on the ground. His eyes widened when he realized that Tensaiga was sticking out of the ground in front of Rins body. It had absorbed most of the blow from Bakusaiga.

(Why Tensaiga? Why defend her now?)Sesshomaru thought.

"Did Tensaiga just save Rin?!" Kagome asked.

"If anything... I think it saved Sesshomaru from making a huge mistake" Inuyasha replied.

"Did he... Did you really try to kill her!? Answer me Sesshomaru!" Kagome yelled.

"I would have succeeded if not for interference" He replied. He admitted to himself that he may have gone a bit overboard and was relieved to find that Rin was spared. Although he felt no intimate attachment to her, she was his most loyal companion.
