"UUUGGGGH THAT BASTARD!" Inuyasha slammed his fist against a tree.
"Calm down Inuyasha, he said he'll be back so he will ok. Geeze your gonna give yourself a stroke or something." Kagome scolded.
Inuyasha and Kagome sat outside their hut while waiting for Rin to come out.
"It's been 3 days Kagome, HE SAID A COUPLE OF HOURS!"
"I'm sure he has his reasons, but so what if he's gone for 3 days? Are you really trying to get rid of her that badly?"
"Huh? Well no... It's just... I mean shouldn't she be with him?"
"Yea but she's not, she's here with us so stop making it seem like she's not welcome!"
"The longer we wait, the longer he has to suffer..." he suggested.
"Who has to suffer?" Rin asked as she emerged from the hut.
"Oh hey RIN" Kagome said while giving her husband the evil eye.
"Uh... We were just talking about Kohaku and Anayai. He's getting scolded by her for flirting with the village women." Inuyasha stated as he tried to hide what they were really talking about.
"He wasn't flirting with anyone Inuyasha. Your getting confused with Miroku." She turned to face Rin, "Some of the village girls were complimenting him and he was just making polite conversation, but Anayai didn't think it was too polite so now they're arguing." She chuckled.
Anayai and Kohaku grew closer and closer over the past 2 years. Talks of marriage and her residing in the village even circulated to everyone's ears once or twice.
"Well I should probably go say hi and apologize for my behavior the last time I saw them, but first Id like to take a walk. I need some fresh air and water" Rin said.
She politely bowed her head and left the couple staring at her as she walked away.
The couple stayed silent until she was out of sight.
"Heh... That was a close one huh Kagome? Good thing I..."
"SIT BOY! Your such an idiot sometimes I swear!" Kagome stomped over his incapacitated body and made her way back into their hut.

Rin followed the smell of running water and found herself near the waterfall. The last time she was here she played her last song for Kohaku. She smiled at the thought. At that time she believed everything that happened wasn't even a possibility. She started to undress and submerged herself in the pond below that waterfall. She swam to the edge of the pond to rest her head on the soil. She used her fingers to trace the shape of a spiral in the sand. Rin pondered on what would become of her, of them. She was sad, angry, happy, all of the above. She realized that she couldn't express these thoughts the way she wanted. The only way she knew how. She looked around saw a branch laying near her. She grabbed it and held the branch by laying it flat in both her hands. Once she closed her eyes the branch started to give off a luminescent glow. The branch was no longer a plain old branch but a marvelous flute. She admired her handy work and decided what to do next. She grabbed her clothes and headed back to the village. She walked by all the villagers and their families. Every child she saw, she only saw Maru. Every father she saw, she only saw Sesshomaru. Every mother, herself. She sat quietly in the village square and pulled out her flute.
