"Lord Sesssshomaruuuuuuu!" Jaken ran in sobbing before Rin could answer. "My Lord you've abandoned me again!"
!
"AArgggh!" A lump slowly developed on top of his head. "Forgive me, Lord Sesshomaru, I see I'm interrupting something. How rude of me" Jaken said with rigorous tears flowing down his face.
Sesshomaru started to leave. Rin stood in place not willing to follow him. In truth, she didn't want to answer his question because she didn't have the answer herself. As Sesshomaru walked past her he stopped before exiting the great hall and turned his head. He noticed her reluctance to follow him and let out a soft "Hmph" before continuing his leave without her.
"Did something happen Rin?" Jaken asked.
"I'm not sure master Jaken... He's upset and I don't know what to say to him" she replied.
"Stupid girl! You know better than to anger our great Lord! Go an apologize right this instant!" He knocked her on the head with his staff. His face grew serious, "If Rin has upset him then only Rin can make him happy again. Go and apologize and all will be forgiven"
"... How can I apologize when I'm not sure what I'm apologizing for?"

Rin decided to take her meal in her room for dinner. She felt uneasy around both Sesshomaru and Kaimizu in the same room. She went for a walk to her garden. She sat below the luscious greenery of the trees that Sesshomaru planted in her garden. The fireflies lit up the garden so nicely that she could see everything under the moonlight.
"Your appearance is different, It's no wonder I couldn't sense you" a voice said.
(Sense me?)
"Oh! Kaimizu! Shouldn't you be in a meeting with the generals? what are you doing here?" She asked in a panic.
"The Lord ended the meeting early. He seems to be bothered by something so we all retired."
"is that so?..."
"May I ask what are you doing here Rin?"
"I live here?"
"Are you a servant of the castle?"
"No, not exactly."
"If not exactly, then what exactly?" he asked with curious eyes.
"I'm..." she started.
"She's my wife." A voice interrupted.
Both Kaimizu and Rin were so distracted with their discussion they didn't sense Sesshomaru who seemed to appear out of the shadows.
"Wife... I see..." KaiMizu uttered the words under his breath. There was a look of sadness and disappointment in his eyes.
"Yes, so I expect it's not appropriate to be alone with a married woman Kaimizu" Sesshomaru cooly stated.
"Right, Forgive me, Lord Sesshomaru. So this is the marriage that created the union... If anything it was somewhat of an arranged marriage then correct?" he smiled gently at Rin.
"Well yes I suppose..." Rin answered nervously.
"It takes great courage to sacrifice your own happiness for the good of their lands. Such bravery is admirable." Kaimizu stated. A glimmer of hope filled his heart. In his mind, this was arranged and no love was involved.
