The room was quiet, the huge oak table in the middle of the room looked out of place in a room that was decorated in monochrome. The six men sifted through a pile of black and white photographs spread out on the table, choosing one and staring at it, a few hums of agreement and slight nods of the head as they studied the image held in their hands.

"So, this is the cop?" Cobalt said, holding up a photo of Jungkook.

"Yeah that's him. He's been sniffing round Birds for months." Azure spoke through the smoke he exhaled.

"And who's this pretty guy?" Teal lifted a photo so everyone around the table could see it.

"He's all yours, Teal. We need someone we can trust to keep an eye on Vante." When Aqua spoke, they all listened, he was Blue's right-hand man and wasn't seen around in the clubs as much as the others. Blue was well known, mostly by name but he needed someone who flew under the radar and Aqua had proven himself on many occasions to be his rock, sturdy, dependable and emotionless.

"If we don't trust Vante, then why have you told him to bed the cop?"

"Because the cop wants him. He's been fucking any staff that will have him, just to get info on Vante so if he is shown the slightest bit of interest, he should do whatever Vante wants." Aqua rubbed his hands together and smiled, revealing a silver tooth.

"And if Vante fucks up?" Cyan was the manager above Dente at Bluebirds and he wasn't keen on Vante.

"Then I will stick a bullet in his fucking head" the booming voice of Blue echoed in the seemingly empty room.

The five men around the table nodded as Teal spoke up "I need everything you've got on this other cop then. I would presume that you've checked CCTV and we know he hasn't seen me at Starlings?"

"We've trawled through the last year of video and he's never set eyes on you, Teal. Cyan is gonna take over Starlings while you lay low. Dente can handle Bluebirds for now."

There was a clear system amongst Blue's men and the way he ran the clubs but all were versatile. Teal ran Starlings single handedly, more or less, but he dealt with the finances coming in so his role was slightly different to Cyan's at Bluebirds and Azure's at Magpies.

"How much does Dente know? You know how close he is to Vante." Azure questioned.

"Dente knows nothing. He will be told nothing. You are usually at Bluebirds anyway Azure so it won't be any different to the normal routine for Dente, only that Cyan won't be around physically at all. We'll throw a couple of phone calls in so Dente doesn't suspect anything. You know Dente just does as he's told which is why he isn't sat around this table, he's a glorified stripper and he has the role he has because it bridges the gap between management and the workers."

"And Vante won't tell Dente anything?" Cyan asked.

"He's been threatened not to tell anyone and I don't think he's stupid enough to test us."

"You know he likes to push boundaries" Azure hated Vante, his attitude irritated him and he'd wanted to end him so many times over the years but he brought a lot of money into the clubs so until he made a mistake, he was too much of a commodity.

"Pushing boundaries and risking your life are two different things Azure. He knows we can make him disappear if we have to" having a lawyer on the team was a blessing in disguise at times and Cobalt knew everything there was to know about the law, which is why they were as successful and slippery as they were.

As the meeting concluded, the men were all sure of the plan, the photographs were placed back in Cobalt's briefcase and Teal ran through the things that Cyan would need to know in his absence... Teal had a cop to seduce.
