It's Time...

"What's he doing here, Namjoon?" Jimin asked as Namjoon and Jin arrived, joining the huge number of officers assembled a few streets away from Magpies. Jimin had been briefly filled in on Jin and the shock Namjoon experienced at Bluebirds when he saw Dente on stage.

"He's a lot like you, he doesn't fucking listen." Namjoon said quite honestly.

"I'm sorry about what Teal did to you, Jimin." the blonde was still trying to get his head around the way these two worlds had collided.

Dente had known Teal for years, through conversations with Namjoon, going over recent events they pieced together that Teal had been seeing Jimin when Azure had been seen at Bluebirds a lot more while Cyan went AWOL. They suspected that Cyan had gone to Starlings because they knew that Bluebirds was covered with Dente himself being there. Jimin provided a rough timeline of the night he met Teal and everything that happened afterwards, it was mind blowing just how long it was all in the planning.

"It was fun while it lasted, I suppose." Jimin felt stupid that he had been used in the way he had, even though everyone had reassured him that he wasn't to have known. He was more annoyed with how duped he'd been into thinking that Li Weng actually liked him, he was made to feel like he was desired and thought it could be going somewhere. People told him in the past that he was a dreamer and that he was chasing a fairytale but he didn't think there was anything wrong with that, he just wanted to be madly in love and for someone to love him back. It was his belief in fairy tales that got him in trouble with Li Weng and tainted his opinion on Jungkook's situation with Vante. He wanted his friend to have an easier time of it, for there to be dates and romantic meals, for him to open up his lunch at work and find a love note from his partner... but he'd gone and fallen for a stripper and now he was missing.

"I've never seen you at the club." Dente said looking at Jimin and his pink tinged cheeks.

"No, I've always taken the piss out of Jungkook for going. I like the cocktail bar around the corner. He only went to see Vante, it had nothing to do with the actual club."

"So I've heard." this was difficult for Dente. He had learned so much about the people around him that he hadn't even realised was happening. It was difficult to swallow when you understand just how censored your world is, the people around you in control of how much you do and don't know. He had the feeling that Vante was up to something but he was a master at being a certain way and making people think differently to put them off the scent, which is why he'd been so surprised that Vante admitted he had feelings for Jungkook. Dente knew that Vante was guarded, that the person he projected wasn't who he really was, it saddened him but he understood.

Namjoon turned to his boyfriend "Are you ready? This is dangerous, Jinnie. You could get hurt or worse and the same for me and every person standing here."

The blonde reached up and held his face "I understand but we have a date together on Wednesday and I wasn't planning on bailing."

Namjoon smiled "Me either, but I'm going to cancel the hotel. We have a lot of talking to do then I want to wake up with you in my bed."

"Sounds perfect." he replied, leaving a chaste kiss on Namjoon's lips.

Everyone was briefed once more, they had gone over the plans and layout of Magpies a million times and Namjoon's heart was pumping so hard he thought he was going to have a heart attack. Whatever happened, there wasn't any way on earth that he would let any of Blue's men get his hands on Dente ever again. The way they had spoken about him was hurtful, he hadn't liked it very much at the time but now he knew who he was, it hurt him so much and he would never let him find out what they had said. Everything Jungkook had told him about the injuries to Vante, the images he'd seen on his phone, every bit of information was now personal, he couldn't bear the thought of anyone treating Dente like that and this raid had to be successful.
