As the door was unlocked and opened, Jungkook was ready to fight as Tommy appeared in the room, he had pulled himself to his feet and was leaning against the wall. He didn't know where they had taken Tae or what happened now but he was at least going to die trying. His shoulders ached but rolling them every now and again whilst bearing the pain had slowly erased the intense shooting pains to a dull ache. His legs were shaky and he didn't know if there was any part of them that didn't hurt but he could cope with that, he was sure nothing was broken as he stood with them bearing his weight for the first time in what felt like days.

Tommy walked over to the policeman, he thought he could hear gunfire but ignored it, his brain was playing all sorts of tricks on him and his head pounded, he didn't know what was real anymore as he'd imagined so much while in and out of consciousness. As Tommy went to grab him he swung his arm and connected with the man's upper body "Hey hey!" the doorman hushed. Jungkook's vision in one eye was a lot less blurry, it wasn't perfect by any means but his coordination was improved by it, even if his arms felt like lead weights.

Tommy had his hands in front of him in a submitting stance, speaking quietly but forcefully "Stop! Stop! I need you to come with me."

"Why the fuck should I?"

"Please, we have no time. I need you to trust me."

"You took Vante. I don't trust you!" Jungkook thought Tommy had lost his mind, it wasn't that long ago that he was tearing Vante from him and dragging him out of the room.

Tommy grabbed Jungkook's arms "HEY! Now, please, just come with me, we don't have much time." he needed Jungkook to listen to him, there wasn't much time and he needed to act now. Tommy understood why he was being the way he was but he needed him to listen.

"I don't care anymore, do what you like." he didn't know whether to attack or submit, either way he knew for certain that whatever happened, he didn't want his life without Tae in it.

"Officer Jeon, I'm going to help you but you have to come with me, NOW!"

Jungkook gave in and allowed the man to support him, partly dragging him towards the door, when they got out of the room, he was sure it was gunfire, Tommy kicked the door closed and continued down the hall. The doorman was ushering them quickly, Jungkook's legs weren't as quick as he'd like as they moved away from the noise coming behind them. He unlocked a door, heaving Jungkook into the room, he heard a commotion, pushed him in and locked the door, rushing away.

The policeman hit the ground with a thump, he bashed his side on what he thought was a box but he couldn't be sure because the room was dark. He grunted and groaned as the shooting pain that he hadn't felt in a while made an appearance and made it difficult to breathe until it subsided. Jungkook clutched his side and tried not to panic, his lungs burning from where he was holding his breath, willing the pain to go.

"Kookie?" a familiar voice came through the darkness and he cried with relief.

At first he thought his mind was tricking him, it was a sound he never thought he would hear again, he paused as he slowly began to take breaths and the intensity of the pain subsided.

"Tae?" he whispered back.

"Yes, I'm here. I can't see you."

Jungkook dragged himself to a wall, feeling with his hands, his whole body screaming in pain with every breath but he didn't care. "Stay where you are." he said as he felt his way along the wall, bumping into boxes, presuming they were in some sort of storage room.

"Okay. Can you move? Are you hurt? I mean more? Are you hurt, more?"

The voice was getting louder as he moved as fast as his body and the room allowed him to. He couldn't respond, trying to focus on breathing, his lungs causing immense pain with each breath, suspecting his ribs could be broken.
