A searing pain spiked through his head from his eye socket as he tried opening his eyes, in what was the second time he had attempted this. The last time he had been brought out of subconsciousness by a fist in his face that he was sure had fractured his cheekbone and made it almost impossible to open his left eye.

At least this time, the hand had gone from around his throat and he was sitting on a chair instead of slumped on a cold hard floor. He couldn't feel his shoulders that were numb from where his hands were tied so tightly behind him, which may have been a positive if the pain in his head was anything to go by. He knew the pain would be excruciating once his hands were untied so he would have that to look forward to.

Another blow to the stomach and the sound of laughter around the room but he didn't know how many were there. The sound abruptly came to a halt when the door opened and Blue walked in, he could sense the change in the room as the others muttered and shuffled about. The way one of them greeted him told Jungkook that the boss just arrived and he was hoping that he would find out what was going on and that would mean a break from the relentless beatings.

"I told you not to kill him yet." he said, his tone laced with sarcasm as he looked at the policeman, bloody and battered on the chair.

"He's not dead." Azure was mopping blood off of his knuckles as he spoke.

"Have you spoken to him?" Blue asked the two men who were standing either side of Jungkook.

"No but while semi conscious he was asking for Vante." Aqua informed him.

"Where is the whore?" his voice boomed around the small room.

"Still in the room with the client. He's been with him all night, well, him and his friends." Azure's laugh was the type of sound that filled you with dread and was like poison seeping through your veins.

"Best bring him here then." Blue said to the men who left the room.

Jungkook felt a fist in his hair, yanking his head back so hard he was sure that some hair was ripped from his scalp "I've waited for this day for a long time, Officer. I didn't get the chance to watch your Father die, so I've made sure I get front row seats to your demise."

"What has my Father got to do with anything?" Jungkook's mouth felt swollen and the taste of blood weighed heavily on his tongue.

"It was your Father that killed my brothers and I've waited until the day I can get my revenge. I could never have planned for your stupidity at falling for one of my whores though, that was perfect."

"Don't call him that." Jungkook spat as the words were forced out.

"Do you really believe he loves you Officer Jeon? Let me tell you about Vante because he isn't who you think he is. He is a liar who will do anything if you pay him enough."

The anger surged through him, hearing someone talk about Vante that way was enough to make him struggle and pull at the binds that held his wrists together. He was spitting blood out as the door crashed open and Vante was thrown into the room by Aqua, landing at Jungkook's feet.

In the dim light of the room, Vante was unrecognisable as he got to his knees, his body streaked with black paint and his blue hair still covered with silver. Jungkook thought he could see blood but wasn't sure if he was seeing correctly and the paint masked a lot, let alone the fact he could only see a blurry version of him through his right eye.

Blue laughed, his voice boomed around the room as the two men stood either side of the stripper who was in front of Jungkook, a look of shock on his face as his eyes took in the sight of the policeman's swollen, bloody complexion.
