Where's Brenda?

I really need to change my alarm sound.

I don't want to wake up to an annoying noise in the morning.

My mind flashes back to yesterday. Thomas kissing another girl, Brenda talking to me, then Sonya's words.

My life seems to be a collection of dramatic phases.

Aris calls me downstairs.
"Good morning."

"It's not."

"Cheer up! It's nearly the Christmas holiday soon."

I yawn.

"I know and I plan spending it in a sleep coma."

"Whatever."

He smiles and I'm beginning to like spending mornings like this - talking to my brother, even though I keep remembering Sonya calling him hot.

Speaking of her, she texts me straight away. Weird.

Sonya: Hey, we're outside. Get your ass out here.

I don't text back because there's no point.

"See ya." I wave goodbye to Aris.

I walk out the door and get into the car.

"Morning."

"Morning."

"Where did you go last night? I couldn't find you." Harriet asks.

I glance at Sonya.

"It's...a long story."

"Well, it can't be worse than the party."

"...Actually it is."

"What? Did you punch Brenda again or something?" She laughs.

"Um..."

"No way. You did didn't you?"

"I repeat, it's a long story."

When we arrive at school, the girls meet us at the gates.

"You'll never guess what."

"Brenda's moved schools."
