Part 19: The Baby Shower!

As the week passed by knuckles and silver were constantly on the edge of there seats as they didn't want to relax for even a second due to bliss possibly delivering the egg at any seconds notice but as the days flowed into the next week the guys started to get drained as bliss told them to take a break so that they could relax and recharge for when it did happen after all the next day was gonna be amy's baby shower so they might as well just relax and enjoy themselves, knuckles and silver exchanged looks as they nodded and made plans to go hang out with sonic and the guys while bliss was to hang with amy at the baby shower, it was the perfect plan, that night the guys slept solidly and when they woke up they did so quietly so not to wake bliss up, they wanted her to rest as long as she needed to, once the guys ate they headed out to meet up with sonic and the guys, hours had gone by as sonic was checking in with how the baby shower was going it was currently 4:30 pm so silver and knuckles wanted to know if bliss was enjoying herself, "WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT? BLISS NEVER SHOWED UP AT ALL!! SHE'S ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS AND SHE STOOD ME UP AT MY OWN BABY SHOWER!!!' amy yelled into the comunicator, upon hearing this silver and knuckles exchanged worried looks, bliss had been looking forward to the baby shower and she missed it? something wasn't right! the guys quickly took off back to there home and when they got into the bedroom they found cream standing by blisses bedside and she was timing something, "very good bliss try to relax between contractors," cream advised as the guys eyes went wide and they both rushed to her side, "bliss darling were so sorry that we left you like this!" knuckles stated as he tried to make her feel better but all she cared about was getting the egg out, "well you two got here just in time, its just about out!" cream stated as bliss cried out and cream held up the egg, it was dark pink with dark red spots all over it, she then placed it safely into a blanket nest as she checked blisses stomach for debret, silver and knuckles were both fixated with the egg when they heard cream say "oh wow you guys might wanna see this!! theres another smaller egg thats been hiding all this time behind the bigger one, she's been carrying twins this whole time, thats rare for an echidna!" cream stated as the guys rushed back over to help bliss but something was off with this one, it was like it was refusing to come out, as cream check for anything odd on blisses stomach she stepped back and said, "silver isn't that the same as whats on your gloves?!!! it just appeared out of nowhere!" cream stated as silver ran over to see what it was that cream was talking about, his mouth fell open when he saw a bright turquoise blue circle that looked a lot like the pattern on his gloves and it was on blisses stomach, he looked up at bliss as she was struggling with the delivery, "hmm i wonder if....bliss try to take deep breaths for me, I'm gonna try something!" silver told her as cream held blisses hands and coached her breathing as silver used his powers and before he knew it he was holding the second egg in his hands, "silver did it work?" bliss asked weakly as silver stated in shock "ye...yeah.....yeah it worked....bliss look at what I'm holding my love!" silver stated as bliss opened her eyes and saw that silver was holding another egg but this one was smaller than the first but the same base colour and instead of dots on it were the pattern on his gloves, upon seeing this bliss burst into tears of happiness, knuckles and silver looked at each other in shocked happiness as they carefully fist bumped each other and stated "were both gonna be dads! this is awesome!" "knuckles since yours is bigger i think you should care for it and keep it warm like a good father echidna, bliss i think u need to care for this smaller one cause its much smaller so its gonna need as much heat as it can get so it can hatch, does that sound good with you guys?" cream stated as knuckles, bliss, and silver all nodded in agreement, "don't worry I'm great at protecting precious things! bliss if you need the egg at any time just tell me!" bliss nodded as she and silver were keeping the smaller egg warm together in the bed.
