Part 29: The Midnight Visiter!

As the days passed by bliss and knuckles were sitting on the bed and watching the newborns as they rolled around on the bedding with there eyes still closed, bliss giggled at the tiny cuties as knuckles chuckled at his daughters attempts at trying to roll over fully but only making it half way before rolling right back over again and onto her back once more, "awww you almost had it that time sweetems" knuckles gushed at his daughter as he picked her up and cuddled her, the tiny echidna let out a series of small squeaks to her parents thus telling them that she wanted to be back on the soft bedding again where it was safe, knuckles just laughed and placed her back down onto the bedding but this time on her stomach. "knuckles i think you should place her facing up that way she won't be able to get injured" bliss stated in a worried tone only to have knuckles chuckle at her and reply simply with, "don't worry bliss she's an echidna she's tough!" "knuckles i know that! its just that she's only a week and a half old, she could easily get hurt and i don't want that to happen to...hey where did she go?" bliss stated as she discovered that her daughter was now no longer ontop of the bedding beside her hedgehog twin brother, "oh wow there you are knucklena what are you doing down there?" knuckles stated in surprise as he bent down and pick up his daughter who had sure enough tumbled off the bed and onto the carpeted floor, "she's not hurt is she knuckles?!" bliss stated in a terrified manner only to see knucklena start laughing in her fathers arms as he was looking her over for any signs of injury, "it looks like she landed on her head but she seems fine, hey she's got my thick skull!' knuckles exclaimed with a laugh as bliss giggled and sighed in relief that there little baby girl was ok. she turned her gaze towards mist as he was feeling his way around the soft bedding, when he found his mother he let out a squeak of joy as he started to make a odd look on his tiny face, bliss softly pickled her son up and looked at him as he kept scrunching up his face only to finally open up his eyes at last, upon seeing this bliss squealed in joy "silver get in here! you gotta see this! mist just opened his eyes at last!!" bliss called out only to have silver quickly teleport into the bedroom and pick up there son to see this amazing moment, "omg hey there mist! can you see me? I'm your daddy! wow your eyes are really nice little fella!" silver stated to his now open eyed newborn son as mist stared at both his parents and let out happy squeaks, knuckles who was smiling at the sweet scene looked back at knucklena only to find that she was squinting at him now as well thus taking him off guard, "oh my sweet chaos!!! bliss knucklena!!! her eyes are finally open as well!! this is amazing!" knuckles stated excitedly as bliss leaned over and sure enough saw knucklena squinting from her daddy and then to her mommy, the tiny echidna let out a small sneeze as she started to cry, "aww don't cry my princess daddy and mommy are here!" knuckles cooed to his baby girl as she started to calm down again. as the day flowed into the evening the twins continued to stare at there new surroundings that encompassed them, bliss was feeding knucklena as silver bottle fed mist next to her on the sofa, as the infants ate bliss got another look at there amazing eyes, "wow silver knucklena's eyes are dark purple and mists are a beautiful deep peach colour! what amazing eyes they got!" bliss softly stated to silver as he nodded, "ya it defiantly makes them that much more unique thats for sure!" silver said with a big grin as mist stared up at his parents and made small sounds as he drank his bottle, a few hours latter as everyone was getting ready for bed bliss cuddled up to silver in there bed as she let out a large yawn, "eventful day wasn't it bliss?" silver stated as bliss smiled up at him and nodded and they both fell asleep, they were only sleeping for a few hours when they were all awoken by the sound of someone banging on the bedroom window, silver groaned as he let go of bliss rolled over and got out of bed, as he made it to the window he let out a scream of terror as bliss lept out of bed as well from the yelp, "oh come off it you two! let me in!!!" a voice stated from outside the window, bliss turned on the bedroom light only to find shadow standing outside the window and he looked pissed as usual, she watched as silver opened up the window and shadow climbed into the room, "geeze thanks for letting me in....FINALY!" shadow yelled at silver as silver stated back at the angry hedgehog, "hey you know you could of used the front door like a normal person!" "ya right and chance the problem of sonic finding out that I'm here? no thanks!" shadow stated angrily as he turned and looked at bliss, "you! i need your assistance right away! I'm in a...predicament per say.." shadow said softly to bliss as she told him to follow him into the living room. Once they were seated on the sofa shadow placed a strange pillow sac sized bag on the coffee table and stated to bliss to look inside, "the item in the bag is the source of my problem! i found it outside my house earlier today when i went to outside" shadow stated as bliss looked inside the bag and let out a gasp, "shadow what the heck do you think your doing?! theres a baby in this bag!!! it could of suffocated!! who's is it?...don't tell me that you did something to this little ones parents!!!" bliss stated angrily as she removed the tiny infant from the bag and held it in her arms as shadow shook his head and handed bliss the note that had been attached to the infant when he found it earlier, "I've tried everything to get rid of that thing, i even tried throwing it out the window but it just flies right back to me!...its so annoying and so so so clingy and it keeps soiling itself its disgusting!" shadow stated angerly to the small group. after reading the note bliss was in tears, "bliss how bad could it possibly be?" silver stated as knuckles leaned over bliss's shoulder to get a look at the baby that was resting on her lap, "silver the note says that rouge is the babys mom and that its daddy is shadow....rouge says in the note that the baby is getting in her way of being a proper spy at G.U.N. and now shadows saying that he doesn't want it either!!!" bliss stated as tears started to stream from her eyes, thats when knuckles got a great idea, "hey how about we take the little one off your hands for a while! you can come get it when your fully ready!" knuckles stated as he looked at bliss and winked at her, "hmmm i like that idea...ok you can all take care of the runt till i come back for it....ya that sounds great!..." shadow stated with a sly smile as he shook knuckles, blisses, and silvers hands and then quickly crawled back out the window again, bliss just looked back down at the tiny infant that was still sleeping in her arms. "i have a weird feeling that shadow won't be coming back any time soon" silver stated as he held up another bag that shadow had left next to the sofa and it was filled with baby items that rouge had left him with earlier that day.
