Forever Together

Chapter 100

They spent over sixty wonderful years together; they had so many grandchildren and even a few great-grandchildren that there was never a dull moment at their house. It was constantly full of loud men, little feet running around, and lots of fun noise.

She broke her promise never to leave them, as she was the first to go. She had been in the hospital for a while; the guys kept telling her that she couldn't leave them. She didn't want to, but it was getting too hard to stay. When she finally left, she was surrounded by her family. She started life with no one and ended it with more than any one person can imagine or deserve. She must have been a Saint in her last life to be so blessed in this one. 

"I love you Nae Sesangs. For you, I could capture the moon; you only need to ask." She smiled at them and then looked at her children. "You are my greatest accomplishment. I'm forever thankful that your Appas gave me you." Stasia closed her eyes and took her last breath.

When she opened her eyes again, she was sitting on the bench, and Noah was there with a huge smile on his face. She reached out to touch him. Her hand wasn't the wrinkly hand she had been seeing for years; it was the young hand of a 24-year-old. Stasia touched his cheek, just to make sure he was real. He took her hand and gave it a kiss. "What took you so long?"

 She had to laugh, "I'm sorry, I got lost on the way here."

"Were you happy?"

She nodded, "Yes, I was extremely happy."

"Were they good to you?"

"They were, they loved me so much that at times I thought I wouldn't be enough."

"You are always enough, Stasia. How is Aimes?"

"She's good, she's a grandmother now!"

He smiled, and tears ran down his face. She wiped them away. "I'm sorry I missed her life; I'm sorry I left you. I did it because I knew I wouldn't be able to go on without you. I love you, Stasia."

"I love you too, Noah; I never stopped. In the next life, let's grow old together!"

He stood up and reached for her hand. They walked into the light together. Who knows what the next chapter holds, but for now, she was thankful that she gets to spend at least a little bit of it with Noah!
