Chapter 20

Both hero beginners had the same routine: wake up earlier than the sun, train after breakfast, follow Endeavor for any sign or alert of a villain, go home, train more and sleep right after dinner. It sure was exhausting, but it was worth it. The girl got to see the number two hero fight some villains in one of the days and Shouto taught her some new movements. However, her mental training continued throughout the day, she began to carry a steel ball with her, it weighed next to sixty six pounds. Her goal was to make her mind stronger, being able to lift heavier objects for longer periods of time and to be able to hold someone's attack even with a huge boost.

What they weren't expecting that day was an attack just like the one back at USJ. Endeavor got a call to go to Hosu City, telling him to hurry up and get there as fast as possible. The hero made sure to take his two apprentices, but, when they got there, they couldn't come closer, just look from afar.

However, it didn't last long, (Y/n) got a message from Izuku. She made a strange face while viewing it, it was just his location. It was not so far from them, Midoriya could possibly be in danger. She showed it to Todoroki, who was a little hesitant to go rescue him, but agreed to help her anyway.

They ran to the location, imagining that it might be a Nomu, or a low level villain. They weren't expecting it to be the hero killer, Stain. When they got there, they waited for a sign to enter the fight, they listened to the conversation and paid attention to the movements Midoriya did. They saw the villain was about to kill Iida, so they decided to finally act.

"Go, I'll help you." she said as she held the villain's sword with her Quirk, making it impossible to slash the student.

When Stain stopped to understand what was going on, Todoroki threw a stream of fire at him. Unfortunately, he dodged, not even breaking a sweat.

"One after another." he looked at the two new opponents in front of him "There's so many of you disturbing me today!"

"Midoriya, at times like these, you need to provide more details." Shouto said, showing the phone with the boy's location.

"Sorry, we took too long because of that." the girl said, walking beside Todoroki, finally in view.

"Why did you two come?" Izuku asked, still on the ground.

"I know you, Izuku. You wouldn't send only your location if everything was fine." she responded, readying herself to attack.

Todoroki froze the ground, making the villain jump in the air, while (Y/n) used her quirk to pull Iida, the unknown hero on the ground and Izuku out of the line of fire, literally.

"Don't worry, the pros are gonna come any minute." Shouto said, throwing fire at Stain.

"Don't let him lick your blood! He got us that way!" Midoriya screamed, warning the students.

"Stay far from him, Todoro-" the girl was cut short, a knife passed by Shouto's cheek, too fast for her to stop or him to dodge, the villain was right in front of them in that moment of distraction.

Todoroki threw more flames at him before he could lick the cut made by the blade. The boy then made a wall of ice, but Stain didn't seem phased by it, cutting right through it with ease. The girl floated the ice that was cut and threw it at the villain, making it harder to dodge. Suddenly, they began hearing Iida talking, but it wasn't like him to talk that way.

"Why are you two... Why? Stop this! I got the name from my brother, this is my job. This guy's mine!" he screamed in his crazed state.

"'Got'? That's strange. The Ingenium that I knew wouldn't make this face."
