The girl placed her head on her hands, still sitting on the floor and hearing the rain get worse. She sighed loudly, her hands sliding over her face to her neck. She grabbed the flesh there, jokingly trying to choke herself.

"What the fuck were you doing?!" she said loudly.

She got her things from the floor and got up, dragging her wet self to the bathroom to take a bath. On the way there, she noticed something about her house, not a certain room, but her entire house. It was cold, it was a mess and, most importantly, it was lonely. She stopped in the middle of the corridor, looking at the pictures that hung on the walls, happy times that wouldn't come back. She missed her parents. Were they okay in the US? They always seemed in hurry when they talked over the phone. She held the tears that came to her eyes and continued on her way to the bathroom.

Already inside the shower she stopped again to think about what happened earlier. Her objectives seemed to change every time she was next to the hero. When she was by herself she wanted to be the first, the best, almost unstoppable, but when she was next to him she wanted to be beside him, have him shower her in attention and even naughty thoughts passed through her head, which were quite rare since she was so focused with doing well at the activities and tests. She didn't know why this was happening, she despised the man right before meeting him face to face. Was this what they call 'love at first sight'? She really hoped it wasn't that.

While standing under the shower head she noticed the blood seeping into the water, she completely forgot about the injury. Right when she was looking at it, it started to sting, like a knife going into her side. She wished that she hadn't flown that high, she thought that she could 'outran' the ice spike and maybe tire Todoroki making him use too much of his quirk. She hoped that, even with her stupidity, some agency would send her an invitation.

She changed the bandages, finding it quite difficult to do it on her own, but managed to do it in the end. After feeling refreshed and clean, she grabbed her bag and looked through her things to see what was wet and what wasn't. She noticed her phone was still on, with low battery, but still working and receiving various messages.

She laid down on her bed, starting to go through all the messages, most of them were from her classmates, some of them probably asked Izuku for her number, since she didn't give them her number yet. They talked about how she was doing, if she needed help with something, to take care of herself and to tell them if she would come to school the next day so they could give her the notes from the classes. She was thankful to have friends like that, even though she hasn't even talked directly with some of them.

The only one that didn't send her any messages was Todoroki, she didn't know if he was feeling guilty or just didn't care at all for what happened to her. Well, she couldn't care less about what a random hero wannabe thought of her. Even Iida sent her a message, it was short and well mannered, but at least he took the time even though his brother was in worse condition, she should message him later.

The messages that seemed highlighted to her were from Izuku, Ochako and Bakugou. Izuku was frantic with the messages, sending one after another, not even a minute in between them. He was asking if she was okay, if she needed any help with getting home, but right after that message he sent another one saying that Midnight made an announcement to the class about her being taken home by a hero. He repeated several times if she needed help going to school the next day.

She kind of ignored his messages for now, moving on to see Ochako's messages. They were just as frantic as Izuku's, but less in intensity, she asked the same things, so she moved on again.

She took a look at some of the messages from Bakugou. They were... Angry. He started by saying how he was going to kill Todoroki and how he was going to beat him up to avenge her. He too said she shouldn't thank him about it, because he couldn't care less about her. Okay, right. 'If he didn't care why was he sending messages?' she laughed at that thought. He continued to send angry messages, saying that he would kill her again if she died. And he didn't ask to take her to school, he demanded it. She would have to text the others to say that she already had company.

She gathered her things for school the next day, not exactly wanting to attend it with an injury that big, but Recovery Girl told her to come early so she could heal her some more. She just wished that she wouldn't be all sleepy when the classes started, so she could actually pay attention to what the teachers were teaching.

After eating dinner and watching a little bit of TV, she moved to her room, scrolling on social media to see what people were saying about the Tournament. She was shocked to discover that Bakugou actually won the event, being presented to the public all chained up and clearly angry, at seemingly nothing.

All Might entered the scene, making the girl's heart beat faster again, even his image now made her feel butterflies inside her. She saw him giving the medals to Bakugou, Todoroki and Tokoyami, and she hoped that, since she was in third place too, he would take it upon himself to give her the medal.

She blocked her cellphone, tucking herself on the bed and looking at the ceiling, waiting for sleep off her quickly. While at it, she couldn't take her mind from All Might. She couldn't help but think about the next day. Would he be worried about her? Would he give the medal himself or he didn't care about it? Would he remember the moment they had today or he didn't even think there was a moment between them? She was so nervous for no Goddamn reason, and she was beginning to hate herself for it.

She used to hate him so much, how Izuku would say that he was awesome, how he would say that he wanted to be like All Might. Every time Izuku would talk about the man she wished he was talking about her, she felt that she needed all that attention to herself.

Growing up she noticed how strange it was that he smiled when he saved people, he should be serious, not smiling like an idiot. She wanted to show the world that to be the best hero you didn't need to smile, you didn't need to be strong, or be a man. You just needed to be the best at what you did, and she really thought that he wasn't the greatest example of number one. Yes, Endeavor, now she knew how shitty that man was, was a good example, focused on work, giving attention to all that was needed and tried his best to accomplish his goal at becoming the number one hero.

Even though she changed her mind a little about his smile, because she could see that most of the time it was genuine, she still felt a little off about him. How he acted all heroic to his students, how he seemed to bring trouble whenever he went and how he cared about what new heroes were coming to battle at his side. It might seem like a standard teacher/hero routine and mind, but still it ticked her off.

She decided that she had enough thinking for that day, her head was pulsating with pain and her wound wasn't any better, so she might as well try to sleep the pain away. She laid on her side and picked her phone again, checking with Bakugou if he was going to really pick her up tomorrow morning, being responded with a 'of fucking course'. She laughed the rudeness and pain on her body away and turned again, looking at the ceiling, but this time actually closing her eyes and falling asleep.
