The girl took a deep breath. She needed to think about how she would use her points in her favor. She realized that many didn't want to be in her group, but she would expect others to choose to stay with those left over. But she overheard Mineta talking to Shoji and their plan seemed interesting.
She came closer, startling Mineta, incredible as it may seem, and Shoji. The purple boy hid behind the other. Shoji just stared at her, not understanding what she wanted.
"Would you mind if I joined your group?" (Y/n) asked, her face serious as always.
Mineta seemed to think, his face blushing and his nose bleeding a little. Shoji opened his mouth to speak, but the boy jumped on his face and slapped his mouth shut.
"What do I gain with that?" Mineta smiled wickedly.
"Whatever you want." the girl said without thinking "Wait! I-"
"Deal! You can join us!" The boy said, rubbing his hands together.
"You shouldn't have done that." Shoji said, stretching one of his limbs with a mouth at the end. "I would've let you in anyway."
"I thought you wouldn't want me on your team since I came second." (Y/n) scratched her head, embarrassed.
"You would make a great addition to the team." Tsuyu says, making her signature noise.
"So, you're in the group too?"
"Yes, I asked Shoji before Mineta." Asui explained.
After the group talked for a bit, before the time was up, they decided to think about who would do what. Shoji would cover the three on his back, Mineta would hold the groups on the ground, Tsuyu would try to pull the groups closer and (Y/n) would be the knight, she would pick up the bandanas with her Quirk. With Shoji covering everyone, it would be easier to stay on the top rank. And from what the girl had noticed, no one had noticed that she was on Shoji's back, maybe they were thinking more about Todoroki and Izuku. Midoryia's team seemed weaker and had more points which would make him the main target, and Shouto would be guarded for being skillful even without using his left side.
Shoji ran through the arena, the girl didn't know how he could handle three people on his back. They managed to get one or two bandana thingys, and now they ran behind the Izuku team. Mineta uttered an evil laugh.
"Fighting? No, this is... a one-sided plunder!" The purple boy screamed, leaving Izuku nervous, not knowing where the voice was coming from.
Izuku told his group to escape, but Uraraka couldn't move, a gum from Mineta's hair was glued to the sole of her shoe.
"Where did it come from?" Midoryia asked, looking around to see where the attack had come from.
"From here... Midoryia." Mineta showed up, a scary look on his face.
"Is that allowed?!" Izuku asked.
"It is!" Midnight responds.
Suddenly Tsuyu's tongue protruded out of Shoji's protection and tried to distract Izuku and the other group. At this point (Y/n) tried to pick up the bandana with her Quirk, but Midoryia noticed and grabbed the bandana with force.
"I didn't expect less from you, Midoryia," Asui said, joining Mineta and showing herself in the light.
"You too?" Izuku said, shocked. "This is amazing! How many people fit in there?!"
"Call me Tsuyu."
Then Mineta and Tsuyu continued to distract Izuku and the other group. (Y/n) was able to pick up the bandana from the other group, bringing it quickly to her and putting it on her neck. Shoji continued to run towards the other groups, noticing an extremely distracted group.
Bakugou listened attentively to what a class 1-B boy was saying. A shadowy aura took hold of him by every second. The girl took advantage of the moment of distraction of the two groups and managed to catch two bandanas of the rival, who even had the bandana from Bakugou. (Y/n) thought about getting Katsuki's bandana, but left it there, thinking that perhaps it wasn't worth it to make him more irritated. When they were passing near Monoma, the student from class 1-B, the girl whispered to her group.
"Don't let him touch you."
Bakugou smirked, being avenged by his crush was a great feeling. Crush?! What?! This was not the time to think about the girl, he should be focused on the tournament! He shook his head and followed the class 1-B student.
As the game continued, the girl felt like someone was watching her, not by the crowd, but by one person. Shoji, it seemed, had also noticed, commenting with the girl who was staring at the group.
"Endeavor." he said quietly.
"But... Why?" The girl asked herself.
"Maybe he's evaluating one of us." Tsuyu said, her index finger on her mouth.
"Just ignore him." (Y/n) said, taking one last look at the man.
With a few seconds to go, the girl felt a slap on her ass. She got frightened and turned quickly, seeing nothing, just a space between Shoji's arms and his back, where she was propped up. By the time she'd turned around again, Monoma had three of the bandanas she'd won, laughing at her shocked face as he used her stolen Quirk. When the group began to chase after the other group, time was up. And the girl's heart stopped. She didn't make it, all this effort for nothing. She had trained so much, but she still needed to get better.
Tsuyu and Mineta seemed content with the situation, but Shoji and (Y/n) were sad. No hero would accept a helper who didn't make it to the third part of the event. Before the girl could head off the arena, she noticed Todoroki and Izuku talking and was sure it couldn't be anything good.
The girl got out of there as quickly as possible, she didn't want to get involved in what could happen there. She walked quickly behind the bathroom, needing to stay a few minutes alone before the next part of the event. She hurried down the corridor where Midoryia was, not even realizing that Bakugou was listening to the two boy's conversation.
She decided to go to a more empty bathroom, one that nobody would find in the competition. With her thoughts far away, and almost no one in the hallways, the girl walked unconcerned and completely distracted. But she didn't notice a huge man coming towards her, and the man, being extremely tall, didn't notice her. The two stumbled, but the only one that fell was her. She was already getting up to apologize, when she realized who it was, her ass found the floor again. Her face went pale quickly and her heart seemed to want to leave her chest. She managed to say only one word, filled with fear and shame.
"Endeavor."
