The girl returned happily to the waiting room, the conversation with Izuku and Toshinori had motivated her more for the next stage of the competition. She walked smiling down the halls until she found Shouto leaving the room. She ran after him, touching his shoulder lightly to get his attention.
"Todoroki. Where are you going?" She asked.
"I was going to train somewhere else." he replied, cold as usual.
"Can I come with you? I was going to do the same, but since we might become rivals in the competition, it may help with the battle itself, right?" She said, wanting to join the boy's training session.
"It's not a bad idea, you can come." he said, turning again and walking slowly.
She followed the boy into a nearby hallway, finding who she least wanted to see at that moment, Endeavor.
"You're on the way." Shouto said, not patient enough to deal with his father.
(Y/n) hid behind the boy slightly, afraid to look at the hero. She was quite rude to him and maybe he would get really pissed off this time and not be as understanding as he had been before.
"You're acting disgracefully, Shouto." He said, still leaning against the wall. "If you used the left side of your body, you would have a brilliant victory in the obstacle course and the cavalry battle." He continued, the boy just ignored him, walking towards the arena to train.
The girl was taken by surprise, being paralyzed at the end of the corridor, just seeing and hearing the conversation between the two.
"Stop this childish rebellion now. You have a duty to beat All Might. You hear me? You're better than your brothers, you're my greatest masterpiece!" He said, raising his voice but not changing his face.
"Is that all you can say, damnit?" Shouto said, surprising the girl even more "I will advance and win only with my mother's power. I won't use your power when fighting."
"Even if it works now, you will soon reach the limits of that power." Endeavor said, his gaze lost on the wall.
Todoroki kept walking, ignoring his father's words completely. Endeavor muttered something under his breath and turned to the girl, pulling her out of her trance.
(Y/n) blushed to her ears, she didn't think she would be alone with the man, and through the speaker she could hear that Shouto's fight would start soon, so she wouldn't be training with him. It was embarrassing to pass in front of Endeavor, so she turned her back, but Endeavor called her.
"Hey, girl!" He said loudly, making her shiver, but without turning to hear "I'm talking to you."
"Y-yes?" She said turning around slowly.
"Have you come here to finally accept the marriage?" He asked, taking only two steps to get close to her.
"N-no, sir. I was going to train with Shouto and-" she tried to say but was interrupted.
"If you think Shouto is too weak, it could be me instead." He said, a serious expression on his face.
How could he say that with such a straight face?
"W-what?!"
"He has the same Quirk as mine and I doubt his mother's Quirk would be strong enough to pass on to his kids. So, maybe with our Quirks, the kid would be even stronger than Shouto. Defeating All Might would take time, but it would be easier." He said thoughtfully "What do you say?"
She felt her heart beating faster, her blood boiling. She was sure her face looked like a cherry, purely out of rage. She sighed loudly, trying to calm down so as to not shout or hit the face of the man in front of her.
"I'm not going to marry anyone in your family. Neither your son, or his brothers, or even you." She said getting closer to him and placing one finger on his chest, pushing it hard"I'm the one who's going to pass All Might, and not even your son can do something about it. Because, be honest with me, you know that if he fights me, he's the one losing." she got down from her tippy toes and turned her back, starting to walk down the hallway.
"Then, let me train you." He said, still without many answer options.
"I don't want to train to be second best." She responded.
"You don't know where you're getting into, kid!" He screamed, the fire in his hair and beard rising.
"Oh, I know very well, mister second place." She got out of the man's sight, just hearing a loud scream and a noise of something exploding, but ignored it, just laughing darkly at just the image of his shocked face.
She couldn't get back in time to see Sero and Shouto's fight, but... It hadn't exactly been a fight, Sero hadn't had time to react right away and Todoroki had already frozen him, his whole body. She spent some time talking with her friends and then, the girl was called to the arena. She would fight Denki, her classmate.
She braced herself, getting into a fighting stance with the blonde, both on opposite sides. Denki looked the girl up and down and gave a seductive smile.
"When this is over, do you wanna hang out?" He asked, but the girl didn't answer, just rolling her eyes. "I'll comfort you, if you want me to. Because this match will be over in a second!" He ended, focusing all his energy, prepared to send the electricity straight to the girl "Indiscriminate 1.3 million volts shock!"
He cast his power on the girl, but missed it completely. (Y/n) used her Quirk, launching herself into the air, out of the shock's reach and hovering above the arena. She dropped her weight, putting her foot in front, going directly towards the boy. Denki only had time to look up, to see the underside of a sneaker heading in his direction. The blow was so strong that it threw the boy out of the arena. She straightened her uniform and hair, giving a smile of victory.
"Well, I didn't expect it to be that fast." she said, a hand on her waist.
"(L/n) advances to the next step!" Midnight shouted, making the crowd scream right after.
She returned victoriously to the area of the bleachers made for her class, but saw Uraraka leaving, her gaze distant and looking very nervous. She ignored the other, thinking it best to leave her alone, maybe she was going to train some more before her fight against Bakugou.
Speaking of the explosive boy, he was sitting there, watching the fights, looking distracted, not like Ochako, but she could feel the worry coming from him. She sat in the chair beside him, catching the boy's attention.
"What did you think?" She asked the blonde.
"Lame." he replied, arms folded and looking downhearted.
"Oh come on! That kick to the face was a great finish!" She said, smiling smugly.
"Well, my fight will be fucking better." he said, serious as ever.
The smile fell from the girl's face. She recalled that his fight would be against Ochako, which could make a good fight, but the girl wasn't strong yet and not prepared enough to fight Bakugou. And she knew that Katsuki wouldn't take it easy on Ochako. She looked at the blonde, her (e/c) eyes darkened, worry visible on her face.
"Katsuki, could you do me a favor?" She asked, taking one of the boy's hands.
Bakugou blushed slightly, but continued with his serious face, feeling that it would be something important. The boy was silent, waiting for her to continue.
"Take it easy on Uraraka, please?" She said, trying to make the cutest face she could get.
It seemed to work because the boy choked slightly and covered his mouth with his fist, coughing to the side.
"I'll... think about it." He said, without looking at (Y/n)'s face.
"Thanks, Katsuki!" The girl said, her eyes shining with gratitude.
She jumped up and hugged the blonde by the neck, kissing his cheek quickly, before letting go and running after Uraraka.
"You're my hero!" She screamed before leaving the boy's field of vision.
Bakugou stood there, just wondering what just happened. He ran his hand over his cheek, feeling where her mouth touched. His face felt hot, as if he'd used his Quirk on his own face. He shook his head out of his trance. He needed to talk to Kirishima.
