Chapter 21

The girl was devastated while thanking Endeavor for the apprenticeship. The man too seemed a little surprised and disappointed when he got the news about the girl not being able to finish the initiation. Todoroki tried to cheer her up the night before. That night she had gotten to their house, but hadn't trained nor eaten her dinner. She went straight to her room and gathered her things, ready to go home the next day. The boy came to her room and knocked, but she told him she wasn't feeling well, so they talked through the paper door. Still, he wasn't able to help her much.

She went home after all that, she was much better in terms of health, but her mind was full of degrading thoughts. She knew it would eventually go away, but when she wasn't busy her mind would go to some horrible places. So, she decided the best thing to do would be to sleep it off. She had school the next day, so saving her strength was important for the hero training planned ahead of her.

Well, it seemed that she saved her strength too much. She overslept a bit, only noticing thirty minutes for the class to start. She dressed up quickly and rushed to UA, not using her Quirk, of course, in fear of using it too much and not being able to complete the activities proposed by the teachers. When she got there her classmates were getting out of the classroom with their hero costumes in hand. One of them, Tsuyu, stopped to instruct her, telling her to get her costume and run to accompany the rest.

She was gonna do as told, but right as she entered she bumped on someone. That someone held the girl before she could fall to the ground, holding her close so she could steady herself. She had closed her eyes waiting for impact, but when she noticed that she hadn't hit the ground, she opened her eyes. Right as she was looking up, a strong but low laugh radiated through her body. She immediately recognized who it was, blushing from head to toe in less than a second.

"Young (L/n), are you okay?" All Might said, his beaming voice able to shake her body just with the closeness.

"Y-y-yes!" she responded too quickly, her arms pushing him away fast, but her hands didn't leave his toned abs. Oh Lord, she could die just by touching those sinful pieces of meat.

The man had a smile on his face, but it wasn't as bright as the other days, it seemed almost worrisome. He lowered his body, making her drop her arms on her side, looking anywhere but his face.

"I heard what happened, are you sure you can face today's challenge?" he asked, worried but at the same time playful.

"Y-yes!" she managed to stutter a little less, a determined expression on her face, but when she looked at him again, her face melted, her embarrassed face took over again.

"So hurry inside and grab your uniform!" he got up, posing with his arms on each side of his waist, his usual pose.

"Y-yes, s-sir." she grabbed her costume real fast and rushed out of the classroom's door.

When she got to the corridor, All Might was still there, smiling brightly at her. He put his hand in front of her, asking her to stop.

"I know today's test will be easy for you, but don't strain yourself." he nodded at her, finally letting her go.

"T-thank you, A-A-All Might!" she bowed at him, running after her friends in the dressing room.

She couldn't help but think on how stupid she must have looked, she literally wasn't able to say more than four different words, not counting his hero name, which, of course, she wouldn't get wrong even if her life was on the line. Her face was beet red just by thinking of the way he held her at the door and the way he smiled... God, she was so fucked.

While she bolted for the changing room, the hero stayed behind, he had his hand on his face, trying to hide the blush he was sporting. He couldn't help but think about how she looked cute when she was nervous and embarrassed. He just wished she showed this side of her with Toshinori too, not just with All Might.
