Chapter Six

City Lights

It tooks us an hour and a half before we arrived where we are today. We are in a freaking hill!

I immediately took off my helmet and look at him with a creasing eyebrows.

"What the hell are we doing here?!" I annoyingly hissed at him.

He chuckles. Wow talaga!

"You are about to find out" he said then cover my eyes with his hands.

I tried grabbing his hands but it's too tight.

"Ready baby?" He whispers seductively.

I gulped. Parang may halong mahika ang bulong niya dahilan para tumigil ako sa pagpumiglas. Every time he calls me that endearment, my heart suddenly leaps and I automatically blushed. This is not so you Rula!

"Brace yourself to the most beautiful scenery you will ever see...in... 1...2...3..." then he took off his hands.

The moment I open my eyes, I see magic. Isa- isang nagbubukas ang mga ilaw sa bawat building sabsyudad. As it suddenly became a milky way. All are shinning like a stars in the skies. I am mesmerizing at what I am witnessing right now. It's breathtaking!

It is a city of lights and magics. It quickly illuminates the darkness.

"Wow! It's beautiful!" I exclaimed with great fascination.

Watching it from here is way more nostalgic than looking at it on low land.

"Indeed, it's beautiful" he agreed.

Lumingon ako sa kaniya and to my surprise he is looking at my direction. I suddenly feel that there is a butterfly in my stomach. The way his eyes are looking at mine enough to flatters my heart. There's something in his stares that glued me to him. Ngayon ko lang ayaw maalis ang titigan namin. Ayaw kong pangalan ang nararamdaman dahil baka nag aassume lang ako, but one way or another, if he keeps doing like this, I can't hold myself anymore , I might one day will find myself falling for him.

For a short period of time, I forgot the Chandler I first met in the beach. This sweet gestures of him covers all those annoying times every time we encountered.

I cleared my throat and look back to the beautiful glistening city lights.

"How did you know this place?" I suddenly ask.

"I just discovered it yesterday...and it is now my favorite place" he softly answered.

While watching the beautiful city, I realize that there's a beauty beyond what we see. There is goodness beyond what we know. Maybe, Chandler is like that, he maybe annoying most of times but look at him now, he is the reason why I am happy right now. I am here because of him. I wouldn't discover this place if he did not find me in the park. Wait, was that coincidence that he was in the park?

So, I turned around to face him.

"What are you doing in the park by the way?" I curiously ask.

"I followed you" he bluntly said that made my jaw dropped. I thought he will annoy me or sugar coat it but he just confessed that he followed me!

"Why?" Brows upward.

"I always have an eye on you Rula" he said tilting his head sideward to look at me.

My heart pounds erratically. My kness is beginning to turn jelly and I felt a thousand bolts flowing in my veins. How can he so blunt about his feelings? Is this how he really is?

I cleared my throat and look away. I bit my lower lip. My eyes are back on the city lights, but my mind is on Chandler's. My heart is still pounding like crazy. I don't like this man, but why do I behave this way?
