Chapter Twenty- Three

Mine

"Mommy look! I am flying with my pegasus!" Cassy shouted while spreading her arms to make it like a wings.

Just like what I promised to them, I will bring them in an amusement park; here we are today, enjoying every rides. We rode bump cars, ferris wheel, roller coaster and we are currently in a carousel.

"Me too mommy!" Segunda naman ni Caius na ginaya din ang kapatid.

"Wow! You are both flying! Cali why don't you spread your wings too!" Pag- eenganyo ko sa bunso ko.

"I'm scared mommy, I might fall" saad niya sa akin habang kapit na kapit sa hawakan.

"No, you will not, just spread your arms like and feel the breeze" I demonstrate it him.

"You can do it Cali... kuya and I didn't fall" pagpapalakas ng loob ni Cassy sa kapatid.

Napangiti ako bigla sa kaniya. Kahit minsan atribida itong anak ko, may pusong mamon sa kapatid.

They both encouraging their brother until Cali made it through. Nagpalakpakan pa kaming apat.

Their smiles are my smiles. Seeing them with a joy in their faces I feel so much blessed. They are the best blessings I ever got. Worth it ang pagod at hirap ko sa pag- aalaga sa kanila.

After naman masulit ang pagsakay sa kahit rides na gusto nila, niyaya ko na silang kumain muna sa isang ice cream parlor. They deserved a little sweets.

I order vanilla for me, strawberry for Cassy and rocky road for both Cali and Caius.

Sinadya ko talagang hindi isama si yaya Minerva, ang katulong kong mag- alaga sa tatlo dahil gusto kong masolo sila.

Agad naman lumapad ang ngiti at nanlaki ang mga mata nila sa kanilang mga inorder. I took out my phone and took a picture of them. After that, I asked one of the waiter to take a picture of us. I'll savor a sweet moment like this.

"Mommy, can we go back again next week here?" Caius suddenly asked me. "Please" hinagod - hagod niya pa ang kamay niya parang nagmamakaaawa sakin.

Binigyan ko siya ng matamis na ngiti. "Of course baby.." I told him then ruffled his hair.

"Let's bring lolo and lola too..they may like it here" ani ni Cassy.

"Sure baby, your lolo and lola will like it if you are the one who will invite them" I told her.

Tumango siya sabay dilaan ang kutchara niya.

Sabay- sabay kaming napatinging apat sa pamilyang kakapasok lang ng parlor. It is a family of four. The father is carrying the baby boy while the mother is holding the hand of her daughter. They looked so happy.

I am sure, Adi will love his children. But, I am too scared to introduce them to him. He might take them away from me. Hindi ko kayang mawala ang mga anak ko sa akin. They are my source of strength and happiness, kapag mawawala sila wala na rin akong lakas at saya.

My heart aches while watching my children looking at the happy family with a longing in their eyes.

Kinuyom ko ang aking kamay sa sakit na nadarama. Am I being selfish? Because I deprived them the right to know their father?

"Mommy, are we adopted?" I was taken aback from Cali's sudden question.

Pati ang dalawa niyang kapatid ay tumingin rin sakin, waiting for an answer.

Oh my god, did they think that they are adopted because of the absence of a father figure?

Kulang nalang maiyak ako habang mataman kong pinagmamasdan ang mga anak ko.
