Orochimaru stood in front of Tsunade, a blade coming out of his mouth. It pierced the woman's chest as she shielded Naruto. She spit out blood, followed by a cough. "Tsunade, you were the only one I would have spared. If I leave this boy alive, everything will fall apart. Stay out of my way for once..!"

"Leave the boy alone. I will protect him, no matter what..!"

Kabuto ignored the pain as he got up, kneeling in front of Akiko. It was his turn to protect her. He didn't know what their master's plan was, but he knew this fight wasn't over just yet.

"Why are you risking everything to protect some Genin brat?"

"I'm doing this to protect the village. To protect the Hidden Leaf." She glared at Orochimaru. The man retreated his blade, returning the glare.

"The protect the Leaf?"

"Because this kid will be Hokage someday." She smiled at him, shaking from her phobia.

"Nonsense. The title of Hokage is a joke. Only fools would take it."

Brown eyes widened at his words. Memories of various people flooded her mind. Shizune, Jiraiya, the four previous Hokage, and even Naruto. "From here on out, it's my life on the line!!"

Orochimaru's blade slid past his lips and he attacked her. "Sire, if your life is worth nothing more than this little brat! Then I agree it should we wiped out accordingly!!" He swiped from her left shoulder down to the middle of her bust. She was knocked down beside the boy. "And that leaves... Naruto." He turned to the unconscious boy.

Akiko shouted as tried to get past Kabuto. He gripped her left bicep, stopping her in her tracts. "Let go! He'll kill him!!"

"I know. But if you get in his way, do you really think he'll spare you because you've allied yourself with us!?" She growled, looking away. "I didn't kill him because I know you don't want to lose him. Lord Orochimaru is different. If you fight him, you might die." He loosened his grip, gently pulling her to his side.

They watched as Tsunade fell to Naruto's left side, a new injury on her right side. "Why won't you just die?!" Orochimaru shouted. He took note of her no longer shaking before he was hit.

"Because I'm the Hidden Leaf's Fifth Hokage!!" The purple diamond mark in the middle of her forehead was gone, replaced by black markings. The marks stretched to both sides of her forehead and down past her eyes.

Shizune started yelling at Tsunade, but the woman ignored her. She put her hands together and chakra surrounded her wounds, healing completely.

Orochimaru watched as the wounds healed, a chuckle leaving him. "It seems I'm not the only one who's developed new jutsu. What kind of jutsu is this?"

"What? I've just been storing chakra in my forehead for years. With such a large amount of chakra, I can stimulate all proteins in my body and accelerate cell division to rebuild them. I can regenerate organs and limbs. It's not a recovery ability, it's regeneration. I cannot die, not now!" She took some blood from the side of her mouth, wiping it on the back of her left hand.

"Lord Orochimaru! Manda!!" Kabuto shouted. The man jumped back, letting his assistant spread blood on the tattoo on his master's arm.

"Hurry!" Three massive puffs of smoke appeared. Once it dissipated, three colossal animals sat there. There was a purple snake with black rings around his body, and green eyes. There was also a rusty red frog with brighter red markings around his gold eyes. The third was a white slug with three blue streaks running vertically down the middle and sides of her body. Jiraiya stood on the frog's head, Tsunade and Naruto on the slug, and Orochimaru's group was on the snakes.
