*DUSK*

Orochimaru waited for the boys arrival in his new body. "I'm quite surprised he was able to move his body, Kabuto. I don't know what you told him, but that was a little... cruel." He spoke to his right-hand that stood in front of him.

"Oh, no. There wasn't any order. I prefer not to force things upon others..." he trailed off, earning a scoff from Akiko. She stood at Orochimaru's side, partially leaning on his seat. The medic gave her a warning glare. "He moved on his own, for you, whom he worships."

"Kabuto, you certainly have a twisted personality."

The boy turned around so he could speak face to face with his master. "Lord Orochimaru, Kimimaro was a perfect host body for you. His ideals were soaked in darkness like yours, and he looked to you as a deity, and pursued and worshipped you like a zealot. In addition to that, he was the heir to a ninja Clan that possessed the most perfect and powerful bodies of all, and inherited their abilities. Well, at least he was."

"Yes. It still makes my hair stand up just thinking about how we lost him. I still believe that he was the body I desired most."

"If he was not tainted by illness, then the assassination of the Hokage would have gone smoothly. And we didn't have to go through all of this suffering."

"Things don't always go according to plan."

"It's quite unexpected for them to take this long."

"You did take a member of the village. The Leaf is known for never selling out their comrades. Naruto is a Jinchuriki, just like me. And just like me, he's powerful. Kiba is hot-headed, and his sense of smell is dangerously. Choji and Shikamaru might seem weak, but they aren't. And Neji is a member of the Hyuga clan." Akiko spoke, interrupting the conversation Orochimaru and Kabuto had going.

Her master chuckled. "I'd assume the first one to hamper the team's progress is Jirobo who always gets hungry. Or Kidomaru, who tends to play around too much."

"And both of them are dead." Akiko piped up, crossing her arms over her chest.

"While that is true, the most troublesome one is Sakon, who has the worst temper." Kabuto shook his head. "He won't stop until he kills the enemy, even if he should just hurry on. He tends to be very proud of himself just because he's the strongest of the Four."

"Who knows... Tayuya has a personality just as bad." Orochimaru paused, glancing off to the side. "Well, there is no 'if' once Kimimaro is there. He will clean up anything that is of no use to me."

"Kabuto, Kimimaro has secured the situation by now, has he not?"

"Presently, it would seem so. Aki..?" The girl nodded as his unspoken question, her eyes closing. She opened them moments later, surprised.

"What's wrong?"

"Tayuya faced off against Shikamaru, but he was aided by the Sand kunoichi from the exams; Temari. The twins fought Kiba and Akamaru, who were aided by Kankuro, one of Temari's teammates. Both of them, are dead. And Sasuke is on his way here now, followed by Naruto."

"So, the Sound 4 are no more. You were right, my dear. The Leaf has sent a strong team of Genin after Sasuke. And what of Kimimaro?"

Kabuto spoke before the Jinchuriki could. "His medical treatment has been taken care of, but I couldn't find much information regarding his body. If we had his family's medical history, medical treatment or other data, I think our situation would be considerably different. The only information that turned up from my search was the story behind why the Clan of Kaguya was reduced to nothing but a sole survivor. And the terrible history behind the bloodshed. They were fools who declared war against the powerful nation of the Hidden Mist, and as a consequence of acting without allies, they were obliterated. And ironically, you happened to save the youngest and most talented of their clan."

Orochimaru chuckled. "The Kaguya clan were useless warmongers that only found joy through death and combat. The battlefield was the place were they found inner peace. It's been a long time since people like them, people whose sole purpose in life is to kill, have been needed. The times certainly have changed. Those who attempt to fight against an organized military with brute force now, are only marching to certain death."

"So, you believe it would be wasteful to let him die."

"Haha, who wouldn't want their Kekkei Genkai? They possess an impenetrable skeletal frame which can resist any type of physical attack. If they were to ever go on the offensive, their bones could instantly turn into the sharpest of points. Much like that of a spear."

"Could all of them do that? Manipulate their bones?" Akiko tilted her head to the side, interest sparking in her eyes.

"I'm not sure if all of them could do it to an extent that Kimimaro is able to, but, yes." Orochimaru paused, impatiently drumming his fingers on the arm rests of his chair. "He's coming slowly, isn't he? This is irritating."

"When you're waiting for something you want, it may seem like a long time-"

"Kabuto, stop speaking to me as if I am a child." Akiko stifled a laugh, covering her mouth. "Akiko."

"Sorry." She coughed, pushing her amusement down.

The medic nodded, sending a warning glare at the girl. "I'm sorry. But as your greatest servant, what hindrance could he face? There is nobody who can beat Kimimaro."

"What is happening to Kimimaro at this moment in time doesn't interest me. Sasuke is the one I'm waiting for. He can get here by himself."

"That... might be a bit more difficult than you think." The redhead's words did not go unnoticed by her master, though he didn't respond.
