You don't, but she did

I lay in the cold bed, eyes never shutting, hands always roaming.  It's like my body is trying to make up for the loss of warmth.

But I'll never get that back

Lisa was my warmth.

And now she's left me.

Allowing the tears to creep out of my eyes, I pull the cover up to my neck, still watching the bright moon shimmer in the night sky.

Sleepily I pick out the brightest star and smile.

Cliche? Yes

Cheesy? Yes

Needed in order to keep me from having a breakdown? Absolutely

Lazily picking up my hand, I trace the air that surrounds the star.

"I'll call you Lisa, and I'll love you unconditionally. Only if you promise not to leave me." I whisper, choking up at the end.

Sleep comes the same as it does here all the time.

Painfully long.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Dusty blonde hair flew in my face, and I watched in awe as the little girl dodged all the things papa threw at her.

So cool  I thought, eyes wide and full of wonder

The simulation stopped and the little girl bounced slightly as papa congratulated her and patted her shoulder

"Ruby Jane, come over here darling. I want to introduce you to someone" Papa calls out, his wide grin never leaving his wrinkled face

Mama said that Papa got those from stress, so I should never stress myself out.

I shyly walk up to Papa, not meeting the girl's eyes as I grab onto his leg, making him chuckle slightly

He pats my head and turns me slightly so I can see the other girl's feet.

What? I  don't like looking people in their eyes

"Come on Ruby Jane. Say hi" He whispers gently

I internally groan but turn towards the girl properly, taking in her pure beauty.

She has long dusty blonde hair that's messily tied into a ponytail, and her eyes are a deep brown, almost like it was painted perfectly onto her face.

She smiles and it's like a thousands suns have shone directly into my face, and I can't help return it with a genuine smile back

Sticking out my hand I try and keep my voice neutral

"Hi, My names Jennie Ruby Jane Kim, I'm 12 years old"

She grins and shakes my hand, almost making me gasp with how soft her skin is

"Adelpha Park, I'm 13. My name means beloved sister in Greek" She boasts slightly, seeing my awestruck look no doubt

"Wow, that's so cool. I was named after my Grandma, and My brothers were named off out Grandpa and his brother"

She gives me another bright smile, but I don't think my smile's dropped since I've seen her.

She makes me feel all tingly inside..

"Adelpha!" I hear a warm voice call out, making me painfully aware that we are still being watched by my highly amused father

I'll never hear the end of this one

"I gotta go, my mom's calling me.But hopefully we'll see each other again" Adelpha says flipping our still joined hands together and kissing the back of mine lightly

I blush heavily making her chuckle as she lets go, waving goodbye as she runs off to wherever her mom is.

My Papa instantly starts mocking me, in a joking way so I don't mind. But even if I did mind, I wouldn't care too much.

All I can think about is how warm her hand was, and how much I want it back in mine

------------------------------------------------------------------------

I sit staring at the blank walls, now suddenly hating the thought of waking up. I used to wake up next to Lisa, now I wake up next to a stone cold wall and a hard pillow stained with my blood

Why do I keep re-living that same moment? When will my pain finally be over?

The door creaks open and shuts back quietly, making me internally curse and audibly sigh

"What do you want Adelpha?" I ask, voice unbothered and cold as I don't even bother looking in her direction

"To talk. We used to be good at that you know?" She says softly

Used to be

"Yeah well, one of us got power crazy and started randomly lashing out on old friends. Even going to the point where they drew blood and ruined a perfect relationship" I rant slightly

She doesn't respond, but I can't hear her move either

"At least I know I don't owe you an apology" I mutter under my breath, laying back down and facing the wall as I cover myself back up

I hear her sigh and sit on the bed next to me

No, get out.

"Look Jen, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you, but this is the only way I could get you back. To keep you safe. How else was I supposed to-"

I cut her off angrily, looking her directly into her eyes for the first time in a week

"No, don't you dare give me that bullshit. You know exactly what your fucking doing, and so do I. It's only a matter of time before I get the fuck out of here from you and your batshit crazy ass" I hiss

Her eyes visibly sadden, the brown turning a tad bit darker before she looks away, her lips tightened in a thin line

"It's not as simple as that."

I scoff and lay back down, facing the wall again

"Get out of my room please. I haven't slept and your annoying me" I say harshly, not caring if her feelings get hurt in the least

A few harsh words is all I giver her, but instead she takes my away from someone that I loved. Seems unfair to me

She sighs for the last time before getting up and leaving.

"I love you Jen" she says quietly at the door.

I ignore her and shut my eyes tight

No she doesn't. She never did. Not the way I needed her too.

a/n so I made up a character here as you can tell cuz I didn't know who else to use. Hopefully this book will be a lot more exciting and scary then the last one. Mainly cause it's Jennie pov and she's always in drama... special chapters here will be in Lisa pov
