The group of four moved slowly through the woods. The rain poured down hard on them. They all sported flashlights.

The group came upon a mansion. They decided to go in. It looked abandoned, but they still called out to anyone in the house.

No sound was heard.

The group walked in and checked the lights. They worked.

They group settled on two couches in the living room. One of couples of the four sat cuddled on the couch. While the other two leaned against each other.

"Let's split up. My and Logie stay down here and the second level. You guys take the top two. Roman, you and Virgil go upstairs." The dad-like friend said.

The others nodded. Roman and Virgil got up and moved upstairs.

They explored the upstairs levels. They heard a creek and Virgil jumped back, falling into Roman. "S-Sorry, Ro."

"It's alright, baby. You ok?" Roman said and asked.

"Yeah, just startled me." Virgil explained. Roman nodded and held into him as they moved.

They found what seemed to the master bedroom on the top floor. "Wanna crash here?" Roman asked.

"Yeah sure." Virgil answered. They moved into the room. Virgil sat down on the bed and Roman joined him.

Virgil cuddled up to Roman. "Ro?" Virgil squeaked.

"Yeah, baby?" Roman answered him.

"This place is creepy." Virgil told him. Roman sighed and nodded.

"I agree, love. But it's better than being in the rain." Roman said. Virgil nodded and snuggled close to Roman.

As the night went on, the couple would wake to different noises. Walking, Laughing, talking, children giggles, screams, etc.

Soon, Virgil felt he was being watched. He looked up to see a shadow of a man standing in the doorway.

Virgil shakes Roman quickly. "B-baby, what is it." Roman asked tiredly.

"T-there's someone in the doorway." Virgil said quietly. Roman sat up and pulled Virgil close.

"Um, hello?" Roman said but it sounded like question. The shadow figure laughed and disappeared.

Virgil shook some and hugged Roman. "What is going on!?" He asked.

"I-I don't know, baby. But I got you, alright?" Roman said. Virgil nodded and held onto Roman tightly.

A few minutes pasted, the man appeared again, closer. "Um, sir?" Roman spoke. The man laughed and disappeared.

An hour pasted, he appeared again, even closer. The laughed watching Virgil and Roman before disappearing.

He appeared again, standing at the end of the bed. He laughed louder and disappeared.

The man appeared once more, but this time he held Virgil down on the bed and laughed hysterically. Roman pulled Virgil from the man's grip.

"That's it, we're leaving." Roman said as he looked at Virgil's wrists. Hand marks were visible.

Virgil nodded and let Roman pick him up. Roman carried Virgil downstairs and they looked for Patton Logan, they couldn't find them.

They went downstairs to the bottom floor, they weren't down there either. They went to the door but it wouldn't open.

The man appeared and laughed again. Roman set Virgil down. He kicked the door repeatedly before it flew open.

Roman grabbed Virgil and quickly pushed him outside then followed. The door slammed shut behind them.

It was still pouring but they didn't care. They just ran through the woods. The came upon a small cottage. They knocked and a man opened the door.

"Come in, kids. It's not safe in these woods." The man spoke and pulled them in. "What were boys doing out there anyway?" He asked as he gave Virgil and Roman a cup of hot tea.

"We were lost we two of ours friends. We found an old mansion. But stuff happened and now we don't know where our friends are." Roman explained.

"Damn, he got two more." The man muttered.

"W-What does that mean?" Virgil stuttered quietly.

"That house. Every year it draws kids in. Every times two go missing. We don't know what happens to them. The other kids clam that they were terrorized by a shadow of a man." The man explained. Virgil gripped into Roman.

"We're not going see Patton and Logan anymore?" Virgil whispered. Roman hugged Virgil.

"I'm sorry, kids. You two can stay here for the night." The man before walking off.

Roman laid down on the couch and pulled Virgil into his chest. Virgil let the tears he'd been holding in flow. He hugged Roman tightly. Roman shushed him while keeping his own tears at bay.

This sucked, I know. I had an idea and couldn't do it well at all.
