"I need a favor." Virgil looked up from his phone and up at the boy in front of him. He gave a very confused look and looked around to see if he was talking someone else, when he saw no one, his gaze went back to the boy. "Excuse me?" He said. "I need a favor from you." The boy repeated, sitting down across from Virgil. "And why the hell should I help you, princess? Last time I checked we weren't friends anymore, Roman. What was I? Oh yeah, that's it, not cool enough." Virgil deadpanned, moving to get up.

"Virgil! Please! I'm sorry for how I treated you. I- I just need you to help me." Roman begged. Virgil sat back down, "Humor me, Roman. What is so important that you need me?" Virgil said. Roman sighed heavily and flushed a slight shade of red embarrassment. "Kaylee dumped me. And I want you to help me get her back. Please! Your the only one that can help me. I'm begging you, Virge, I need you. I'll even pay you."

"Pay? Hm, now I gotta know. Why she dump you, huh? Y'all seemed like the dream or some gross shit like that. And frankly I don't think you should even show your face to me, Roman." Virgil answered back. "I know, Virge. I'm so sorry for saying what I did. I was a dumb freshman. I wanted to be liked, and didn't have to the balls to apologize when I realized I was wrong."

Virgil rolled his eyes and scoffed. "Yeah ok, but you didn't answer. Why'd you break up?" He asked. Roman sighed and lowered his voice. "I-I uh made a drunk confession and she didn't take it well." Virgil stared at Roman before busting out laughing. "Oh that's sad. Sheww," "Virgil please! I beg you! I'll pay, just please help me."

"How much?" Roman looked puzzled, "how much what?" He asked. Virgil rolled his eyes. "How much will you pay me?" Virgil
Clarified. "How much do you want?" Roman asked. Virgil thought for a moment before answering. "What do I have to do?" Roman blushed again and stammered. "Oh! Uh, well, um. We would need to uh, fake date? We have to make her jealous!"

"I hate myself." Virgil mumbled under his breathe. "I'll do it for $500." Roman nodded and smiled. "Oh thank you, Virgil! You are so amazing! Absolutely incredible!" Roman gushed. He jumped up from the seat. "Starting tomorrow. And uh, unblock me. Please?" Virgil sighed and nodded, waving Roman away.

The next day, Virgil closed his locker then jumped as arms wrapped away. "Good morning, baby," Roman said to Virgil. Virgil blushed heavily before turning around. "Roman," He hissed. Roman gave him pleading eyes and nodded towards Kaylee, who was watching. "Please play along." Virgil signed, needing the money he was promised. He slid his arms around Roman's neck and gave a fake bright smile. "I better get my fucking money for this shit, Roman." Virgil swore.

"I promise, Virge, you'll get your money." Roman promised. Virgil nodded, the bell rung and Virgil went to move but Roman grabbed him and kissed him. Virgil freaked but let Roman kiss him. "I'll see you later, my love." Roman kissed Virgil's hand as Kaylee walked pasted. She glared at Virgil, and rolled her eyes.

"Did she see?" Roman asked after the fact. "Yes she saw. Now let me go so I can go to class." Roman dropped Virgil. Virgil hurried away quickly. He sat in back of the class, not caring about what the teacher said, lost in his own thoughts.

He and Roman were the best of friends. All through elementary and middle school, they were stuck like glue. Until freshman year. Roman wanted to be popular, so he wanted to hang out with them. They welcomed Roman cause he looked the part. But he had to ditch his emo companion if he wanted to join. And so Roman flushed a 9 year long friendship down the drain. And Virgil's been pissed since. Betrayed. However, he never stopped loving Roman. Loving him more then just a friend and he has since he figured out his sexuality. But Roman left him. And he's been alone since. Just him. He didn't have any other friends, he didn't like hanging out with people. And now that Roman's back, it's been eating him up. He loves feeling Roman's touch once again, but he hates that he loves it. But hey, at least he'll get paid.
