I quickly jumped off my bed and went to my mother's office. She gives me 500 thousand dollars a year, in case I ever wanted or needed something. Over the past 6 years, I owned an equivalent of 3 million dollars.
I grabbed all the money within the giant vault and loaded it into several suit cases.
"Casey! Get a car ready and I want my guards to be with me as well!" I shouted through the mansion to one of my favorite maids.
My mother's a fashion designer with her own make up and other woman necessities' products. She's also a major cure founder to cancer. To put simply, my mother is stupid rich.
I grunted and started pulling the multiple suitcases across the office and outside the door. A maid by the name Samantha, enter the room. "Master Cody! What in Heaven's name are you doing?" She exclaimed.
I frowned and shot her a glare, "please just help me get these in the car." She nodded and took the luggage, dragging them into the black SUV waiting outside.
I got in the car, two guards sat up front while the other two sat in the back seat next to me. I pulled out my phone and dialed the head of TAI. The phone rang about five times until a deep voice came through the receiver. "This is Holland, head of TAI. How many I help you?" I took in a breath and spoke. "Yes, I'm looking to purchase one of your.. stock." I said, trying to sound intimidating. The man grunted, "ya' got someone in mind." It sounded as if he was smoking and irritated. "Number 767." There was a long pause. "I'll patch ya' through to its owner." I sighed in relief. No doubt Lucas didn't have much time, I had to persuade his owner at all cost.
Lucas' perspective:
I felt myself being dragged along the cold hard ground by my feet. My whole body hurt like it was crushed but my wings burned and screamed in pain from the fall and the treatment they were receiving.
I remember stealing the ball from the point guard number 7, then started to descend from the high altitude but as the hairs on the back of my neck stood up, it was too late.
The guards that were dragging me down to my cell were none to friendly. They stepped on my tail and kicked at my wings. I knew from previous attempts that fighting with them was futile due to the collar around my neck. The thick leather and metal object restricted my powers, hindering me useless towards humans.
We passed many cages containing angels and demons, both of which were in poor and miserable condition.
We finally made it to my cell, far in the corner almost excluded from the others. The guards slung me upwards making me dizzy and I expected them to just push me into the cage like any other day but to my horror, the giant men roughly grabbed my injured wings, yanking me along with them.
I wouldn't give them the pleasure at hearing me cry out in pain. So I just gritted my teeth allowing the ruffians to toss me into the damp cell.
I welcomed the comfort the metal bars provided me. 'For outside was a cruel world, sometimes it seems even more frightening than Hell.' I thought as darkness took its hold on me.
Cody's perspective:
"Deven, persuade him to buy the angel. At all cost." I ordered the man that sat beside me. He took the phone and put it on speaker. "What do you want?" A hateful man growled through the phone. "A client of mine wishes to purchase something from you... Tell me, does number 767 have a broken wing?" Deven's voice was gruff and cold sounding, hopefully he'll intimidate the owner to sell him.
"What about 'em?" " If I'm correct, an angel with a broken wing is flat out useless and it cost a good sum of money for you to dispose of them... Tell you what... I will take the beast out of your hair for a large amount."
